We visit here a couple of times a year, and it is always excellent. We recently took friends from the uk, and yet again, the food was excellent. The menu is varied, using seasonal local produce, nicely balanced dishes and good portions. The set menu at 30 euros for three courses without cheese is good value, as you also are... More

Very fresh and fine foods. The service is very friendly. The chief as very good recipes that changes with the seasons. The restaurant is small and cosy, feels a bit like at home.

We went to M&P for lunch (4 adults and baby) to celebrate our son's 9 month birthday. Staff was very attentive to our needs (micro-waving baby food and even gave us a key to a private hotel room upstairs so we could change the nappy). Food was really tasty and nicely presented. Also great value for money, choose the more... More

We visited Mets et Plaisir already many times with different friends and family and we were never, never disappointed, better say always surprised, by the quality of the meals. Throughout the years ! When you want to be sure to have a table it is strongly recommended to make a reservation. Price/quality is ok.

Food was blend and sauces were heavy. Not much to say about the food except to question whether it was coked on premise? The only positive was the young lady waiting on the tables (all of them). She was fast and very efficient

Pleasantly surprised by the food quality, service and decor from this relatively ordinary looking local hotel/restaurant in the town. We were welcomed into a comfortable, relaxed dining room and were offered drinks while we perused and asked questions about the various menus offered in the carte. Eventually we settled on the cappucino of mushrooms, a lentil/foie Grasterrine combination and foie... More

Three levels of menu, €32 for the middle one. Interesting food, well presented and served. All in all a very pleasant town centre restaurant with a public car park opposite as an extra bonus. We will probably never eat there again as, unusually for rural France, dogs are not accepted.

The Mets a Plaisir is one of the few restaurants in within 50 kms that can truly deliver gastronomic entertainment. The local produce and seasonally changing menus conspire to provide surprises every time we visit. Remarkable value and very professional and relaxed front of house.
