Description: A Traditional English Country Inn & Restaurant... The Vine Inn is nestled...
A Traditional English Country Inn & Restaurant... The Vine Inn is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Clent Hills. A warm welcome awaits for all those who wish to visit a traditional English country pub that offers high quality dining in a relaxed environment. Our first class menu has been selected to offer a discerning mixture of traditional pub favourites and to specialise in fresh fish and game - our fish dishes constantly change on our specials board while our game pie and organic venison steaks (done in a variety of ways) are popular trademark dishes. The Vine Inn was first registered as the "Clatterback Water Mill" and what was once the old mill pond is now the garden with a decking area built near to where the water wheel was housed. It was first used as an inn offering home brewed beer, bed and stabling in 1836.

Delicious food...shame about the slow service

A traditional country pub with freshly homemade food. The only thing that let it down was the wait for the food...50 minutes in total. However, the waiters were very attentive and apologetic during our wait. I would definitely recommend it.

Ate dinner with a friend here. Was told there would be a 45min wait for the food. Although ridiculous we decided to have a beer and wait as other reviews were supposedly good. Inside decor is very outdated even for a country pub. I had the red mullet 'special' and my friend had steak. The red mullet was completely tasteless... More

Nice to fill your belly after a nice brisk walk over Clent Hills... But that is about it. Those who eat here obviously eat here for convenience sake. Tasteless cheap but I've had worse.

So this is to go with a previous terrible review. They rang me up this morning to see how I was after my unfortunate mussels. They informed me that they had removed the entire batch of mussels, would be talking to their supplier, fortunately it seems I was the only person to have had a problem with them. Anyway, after... I went with 6 other middle aged guys for a midweek get together. It was a Wednesday and quite quiet, just as well as apperently they were a man down in the kitchen. It's a nice place, a countryfied homely atmosphere with pleasant attentive staff. Butty Bach on the pull is a bonus. I think all my colleagues chose the... More

My son chose this place as he fancied the game pie he saw on the web site menu and he was not disappointed. Everyone enjoyed what they had ranging from fish to steak to guinea fowl and in particular my soup starter was exceptional. The chips went down well but my wife and my saute potatoes were a bit overdone.... More

We visited the pub after a walk on the Clent hills. There are tables by the river but these were in the shade so we walked around the back and found a lovely beer garden, very secluded and sunny. We had a drink but then decided to eat inside as it turned quite cool. They found us a table even... More

Visited 10 May with wife and daughter. Venue was empty when we arrived but soon filled up and was buzzing by time we left. Good choice of food all reasonably priced. We had the 3 course option and the main meal was very good as was my Tiramasu. There is a specials board which I wish I'd paid more attention... More

Have been to the Vine quite a few times and enjoyed our meals there we took the family for a Sunday lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was fairly good. The portion sizes were more than big enough- especially for the roast dinners. The only complaint I have is that although the Vine have gluten free starters and... More
