Description: A Traditional English Country Inn & Restaurant... The Vine Inn is nestled...
A Traditional English Country Inn & Restaurant... The Vine Inn is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Clent Hills. A warm welcome awaits for all those who wish to visit a traditional English country pub that offers high quality dining in a relaxed environment. Our first class menu has been selected to offer a discerning mixture of traditional pub favourites and to specialise in fresh fish and game - our fish dishes constantly change on our specials board while our game pie and organic venison steaks (done in a variety of ways) are popular trademark dishes. The Vine Inn was first registered as the "Clatterback Water Mill" and what was once the old mill pond is now the garden with a decking area built near to where the water wheel was housed. It was first used as an inn offering home brewed beer, bed and stabling in 1836.

Our visit was a very pleasant one. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was great quality and value. The specials board included several interesting Gastro options inc. pigeon, seabass, mussels etc all at a reasonable price. I would agree with a previous review that the home-made pate could be slightly improved. No doubt, it was delicious -... More

Booked a table for dinner for myself and my eldest son for dinner. Nice pub in a lovely location. Good car parking. A few nice ales on tap, good menu. Great pint of Butty Bach to accompany a really nice Fish n Chips. Saw a few other dishes being served up and they all looked really nice. Our meal was... More

Me and my husband called in here for a bite to eat. Really lovely surroundings, quaint oldy worldy feel to it. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff with excellent service. We will be coming back for more.

We visited with our family, including our one, year old granddaughter, for a lunch. There was a limited menu (at lunch time) but the local sourced food appealed and the type of dished served. These included Game Pie, Drunken Pig - Pork in wine and Chicken with strawberries and Balsamic vinegar. The service was good and they catered for the... More

Visited here on a recommendation. Asked at the bar for a table for 2. The young man got us some drinks, in which time we actually decided on what we'd like to eat as we'd come out having just fancied a quick steak. He took our order at the bar, no problem, and pointed us to a table in the... More

After trying the fountain before we decided to give the vine a try. Very old and quaint, however does come with a musty old people's style. Place looks very tired. I'm all for authentic but not tatty. Drinks were really expensive. Almost £10 for a wine and a beer! Starter of pate was quite poor, two tiny burnt pieces of... More

I’m sorry the Vine Inn, Clent wasn’t to your taste. We take thoughtful pride in creating a traditional pub vibe throughout our restaurant which has been reupholstered in the last year and is decorated with interesting antiquities. We may not be modern but we are quaint, cosy and traditional and this is what the vast majority of our clientele appreciates.... More

We had a fantastic meal in a lovely country pub. The menu is creative and not the usual pub grub. The food was amazing and the service was excellent.
