Description: A Traditional English Country Inn & Restaurant... The Vine Inn is nestled...
A Traditional English Country Inn & Restaurant... The Vine Inn is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Clent Hills. A warm welcome awaits for all those who wish to visit a traditional English country pub that offers high quality dining in a relaxed environment. Our first class menu has been selected to offer a discerning mixture of traditional pub favourites and to specialise in fresh fish and game - our fish dishes constantly change on our specials board while our game pie and organic venison steaks (done in a variety of ways) are popular trademark dishes. The Vine Inn was first registered as the "Clatterback Water Mill" and what was once the old mill pond is now the garden with a decking area built near to where the water wheel was housed. It was first used as an inn offering home brewed beer, bed and stabling in 1836.

Great Old World pub

We visited the pub after a walk on the Clent hills. There are tables by the river but these were in the shade so we walked around the back and found a lovely beer garden, very secluded and sunny. Pub could do with a makeover, staff were good and food was okay albeit on the small side. Nice outside, generous beer garden.

Visited 10 May with wife and daughter. Venue was empty when we arrived but soon filled up and was buzzing by time we left. Good choice of food all reasonably priced. We had the 3 course option and the main meal was very good as was my Tiramasu. There is a specials board which I wish I'd paid more attention... More

Have been to the Vine quite a few times and enjoyed our meals there we took the family for a Sunday lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was fairly good. The portion sizes were more than big enough- especially for the roast dinners. The only complaint I have is that although the Vine have gluten free starters and... More

We had a meal for two. Two courses but potions were not generous. Real ale only average - too cold for me as a CAMRA member.

Very welcoming venue, with friendly and prompt service. Nice and comfortable surroundings, pleasant and quiet location, and room attractive, as befits a typical country pub, with some olde world character. Food nicely positioned between the cheaper 'scampi & chips' type of establishment, and top end stuff. Nice selection, fairly priced, enough on your plate, and well cooked. Just what you... More

Came here Easter bank holiday Monday after a walk around Clent hills. They'd sold out of quite a bit of things on the menu, which was understandable. The food was nice, good selection of gluten free meals on the menu. Staff were quite loud and giggly behind the bar, but it didn't ruin the food. The dining area could do... More

I went to The Vine Inn after a trip to the Clent Hills over Easter. We booked the evening before and didn't hold out much hope of actually getting a table. However, they squeezed us in and the booking process was very easy. It is over 150 years old and you get a really sense of that when you go... More

Have been planning to visit here for a while..managed to get a table for Easter Sunday lunch. Initially a little disappointed to see a limited menu for Easter Sunday, but soon forgot all about that..starters of mussels and a salmon roulade, delicious and just the right amount, then the best roast sirloin of beef and trimmings i've had for years...nice...
