Description: A Traditional English Country Inn & Restaurant... The Vine Inn is nestled...
A Traditional English Country Inn & Restaurant... The Vine Inn is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Clent Hills. A warm welcome awaits for all those who wish to visit a traditional English country pub that offers high quality dining in a relaxed environment. Our first class menu has been selected to offer a discerning mixture of traditional pub favourites and to specialise in fresh fish and game - our fish dishes constantly change on our specials board while our game pie and organic venison steaks (done in a variety of ways) are popular trademark dishes. The Vine Inn was first registered as the "Clatterback Water Mill" and what was once the old mill pond is now the garden with a decking area built near to where the water wheel was housed. It was first used as an inn offering home brewed beer, bed and stabling in 1836.

We have been here so many times whilst walking over the Clent Hills. The friendly staff are so helpful. We always have fish and chips, lovely thin crispy batter, huge fluffy inside chunky chips, mushy peas and homemade tartare sauce. Crusty bread and butter and proper linen napkins make this the sort of place you want to visit over and... More

The vine Inn has its own quaint qualities, with open fires and home cooked food the menu caters for every appetite and the portions are over generous. The set menu is fantastic value for money and they have a great range of beers and wines. The grounds around the pub are vast and worth a good walk round there is... More

Our friends from Devon wanted a meal out and, after looking at reviews, we chose The Vine. Three of us ha the set menu and one of us ate a la carte. We found it excellent value for money and very enjoyable. Very good service and a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Excelent food with good choice in an old world atmosphere gives this place the edge on larger but generally poorer quality establishments in nearby Romsley.

Last night we had a get-together for 19 members of our badminton club. The food was delicious and the service excellent, especially as we were a largish party. Nothing was too much trouble for the very helpful staff. I will definitely return.

Telephoned at short notice on Sunday and got a table for 2 at 5. Arrived early and enjoyed a very pleasant drink at the bar until our table was ready. Very friendly service and a delightful late Sunday lunch. Will definitely be back.

Went for meal with friends. Quality good not spectacular but no complaints. Quantity very good. Price average for Clent so as expected but not extortionate. Service good. Would go back.
