Very traditional and very filling food. Good value for money. A bit cramped inside, noisy and hot. Not the perfect place for a romantic night out.

French cuisine done well is the best the world has to offer. In Alsace you can eat "French" but let us say also "more German" or Alsace style. This restaurant offers the best of both worlds. A very tasty choucroute but quality not just quantity. Especially the fish dishes are worth a try. There daily "menu du marche" offers 3... More

Visited last summer hoping to get authentic local dishes, but were very disappointed. The service was incredibly slow and not welcoming. The food was awful. The meat in the stew was tough and overcooked, whilst my wife's duck in strawberry sauce was tough with a horrible pink slush like a cheap yoghurt thrown over it. We discovered that there are... Friendly staff, good food niçely presented. During high season, booking is a must! Is a bit noisy but is all part of the 'ambiance'!

Well, the title pretty much says it all. We were a party of 6, plus 2 kids and eveyone enjoyed their meal. Great desert as well and the price was more than ok. The service could be better in order to match the food. Tip: Do make a reservation for lunch, as it was absolutely packed.

We ate here on a Sunday evening. 18€ menu, excluding drinks (available with a coupon from our nearby hotel - Hotel des Bains) included starter, main course and dessert/cheese. The restaurant has an old warm authentique Alsatian feel - lots of wood on floors and walls. I had a quiche Lorraine + salad, pork escalope in a mushroom cream sauce... More

Great food and atmosphere - the foie gras was to die for! Service could have been a little quicker - average wait of 30 minutes between courses, but my main complaint was the uncomfortable chairs, which made the wait seem interminable. Very attractive pine country style chairs, but they really, really need a cushion!

We liked the look of the menu, I had the Ham Hock with potato sald - fantastic, made with horseradish i think. My wife had the Lamb cooked in beer, really nice as well. Avoid the child 'steak' meal as it was just fried mince. But good pleasant service. My phrase book french got us through the meal. Worth a... More
