Good food, rustic place

The food is really good even if not special, at least for this one visit. Definitly would return for a next visit, They have 2 menu options one 'basic' one 'premium', but also a la carte, good range of choices

We visited this restaurant between visits to the Armistice Clearing and the Palace and had a fantastic meal. We ordered the 3 course lunch. I had Escargot in cheese sauce, Shoulder of Lamb with Lentils, and Apple/raisin Crisp with Apple Ice Cream for dessert while my husband had Scallop St. Jacques Soup, Monkfish with Red Peppers on bed of Spinach,... Actually we were warned by 2 locals to find another place to eat. They were right! We had nice food and the portions were good but the waiters were out of sight and took no care of us. Every time one of us had to stand up to get someone to look after us. Of course this was very frustrating... More

We had a great lunch at Bistrot du Terrior. The three course lunch was generous in the options offered and included a drink as well as coffee. Each course was interesting and was very tasty - particularly the desserts which included a unique dish from Perigord. We would definitely recommend a visit.

We had lunch here after visiting the Chateau. Reasonable menu with many selections - mostly locals. Food very nice and good value - service a bit off

Went for dinner, service attentive and helpful, food is better-than-average for a smalltown bistro. Very friendly service; casual ambience. Probably the best choice in this small city!

After having a not very exciting meal on our first evening this was a real delight. We were lucky to get in as we hadn't reserved and it quickly filled up. Delicious food and we went mad and had three courses!

We had lunch after reading the very positive reviews. The food is good, with a varied menu and is better than most of the food served in other restaurants. However the service was not good. We were pushed to order certain dishes by a waiter who was reluctant to take no for an answer. The whole experience was rather uncomfortable.... More

I was here for a business dinner as the host has eaten here many times and I can see why. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, which is always a positive in France and makes a huge difference... I had the seasonal "L’omelette parfumée à la truffe noire" as a starter - I never, ever order omelette in... More

Stayed overnight in Compiegne on way to Paris and researching a suitable restaurant spotted this one on TA. I booked on-line using their website and received confirmation by email. It worked well as the excellent maitre d (owner?) spotted us when we arrived (obvious Brits I suppose!!). We loved everything about the place - the room, the decor, the value... More
