Excellent Lunch

You have to ask, but chef Rémy Giraud (2 Michelin Stars) does a mid-week lunch menu for 49€. There is no choice--the menu includes appetizers a main course, dessert, and a glass of wine, and we were delighted with the tiny filet of rouget as an appetizer, followed by St Pierre, Langoustine, with an... read more

The restaurant is contained within the main house of the hotel in one of the impressive reception rooms. The restaurant under the guidance of head chef Remy Giraud produces exquisite gourmet delicacies - we had - salade d'anguilie, croustilante - a la vinaigrette a 'echalote - piggeonneau du Vendomois au ju de presse - accompanied by some great local wines.... I grew up in the Midwestern U.S., not a fine dining hotbed. But I do live in San Francisco, and have for many years, so I think I have some "street cred." We were there with a bike trip group. It was a fixed menu, with two or three appetizer/main course/dessert options. Two of the courses, the appetizer (a circle... More

One of the best meals we had in France. The staff was attentive, gracious, and knowledgable about the wine and food.

Absolutely fantastic meal with excellent service. Great wine list, attentive staff. The Degustation menu was utterly beyond compare. At €165 it should be! High prices but worth it. In reality the prices are much less than Paris or Monaco for same Michelin quality. Dining room is intimate and comfortable. They treated us like friends, no bill at the end if... More

We spend 3 nights in the relais and chateau and we dinner there every night. We taste almost everything during this 3 nights and each dish was great. They have a good selection of "fromage" and you can eat any fish or meat that they prepare it perfectly. My children finished every meal with a dish of cheese.

We always visit one proper treat restaurant when on hols, and as this was on the doorstep of our campsite it seemed to be the obvious choice. We had completed our research and noted a e49 express lunch, or a choice of e79 or e89 menus, plus the a la carte. Now as a couple that enjoy food but also... More

My husband and I are staying at Domaine des Hauts de Loire for 4 nights. We had dinner here last evening and it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. I had the 'sole' which is something that I do not order very often...I remember my mother saying it was difficult to prepare. It... More

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had dinner in their restaurant on our last night. I must say this is the best among all the other rated restaurants in Loire valley we tried. Standard of food is good and service is top notch. We had dinner in the dinning room but requested to have dessert in the outdoor... More
