Four of us were enjoying a week, boating on the canals and we tied up outside this lovely restaurant for our "Captain's " birthday lunch! What a treat!

We moored our rented boat at their private mooring and had a truly outstanding lunch that not only included an amuse bouche but also an amuse dessert. Exquisite presentation of perfectly cooked food - as you would expect with 2 Michelin stars. Cheap it sure ain't but worth every cent if you have it to spare. The wine list is... More

My partner and I had Sunday lunch at La Cote St Jacques. It was outstanding. Hors d'oeuvres and an aperatif on the terrace overlooking the river began a truly wonderful experience. This was followed by a "discovery" meal in the restaurant comprising an entree, 2 main courses and a dessert, each with superbly matched wine. In between courses, there are... More

During a recent barge trip in the area we arranged to have lunch at La Cote Saint Jacques. What a great decision for the four of us, as we received all that we had hoped for at this restaurant. My wife and I stayed here for a night in early September 2014. We arrived at around 2.30 and our room was ready. It was a basic room but it was more than adequate overlooking the river. We used the very nice indoor swimming pool and gym (quite small) and then walked along the river. We had a long dinner... More

If you blink while arriving at Joigny you will miss the town, but that's ok because it will avoid you the disappointment of staying and eating at the "Cote St Jacques".
