An eating experience...well worth both its 3 stars and its prices...the food was fabulous...with just the right amount of time in between to savor each part of the meal. Service was present yet not overbearing...a real treat.

A Michelin 3 star and even by that loftiest of standards an exceptional restaurant. Having tried the degustation at a few top notch restaurants we have resolved not to do so - the chef's full pantheon may be interesting and exciting t top retaurants but the length of the meal and inability to pick favourites does detract, for us at... A Michelin Three Star classical restaurant in the tiny hamlet of Chagny. Lock and load for what everyone claims will be special. Amuse bouche of melon in a cheese sauce with sesame oil. Wow!!! Langoustine grilled with crispy breadcrumbs and tartare of langoustine. Oh my ears and whiskers. Off the hook yummy. Tartare to die for. WINE - selection: Burgundy... More

In the center of a small French village , this restaurant with rooms is well worth a visit. The food is excellent, the service attentive and helpful. Something very special about enjoying exceptionally prepared food , sourced locally in this nice old buidling. The rooms are very nice, not large but well decorated . Front desk staff are wonderfully helpful... More

The whole experience is sumptuous, the food and service is faultless, the décor and atmosphere excellent. You do however need a hearty appetite, portions are not small and there are many free treats. A special place and deserves it fine reputation.

After explaining this area of France to a friend, I decided to post a very, very long overdue review. My wife and I visited in both 1987 and in 1997. On both occasions I was spellbound by the experience. In 1987 I thought it might be a fluke, but I had the same experience again in 1997. In reading these... More

Was there last April driving through on a deliberate detour. Was it worth it? Damn right it was!!!! Went for the menu degustation. So many courses and not one weak link. Simply did not have space to look at desert but they enticed me with a crepe suzette. Food was simply beautiful. Service was very personalised. Definitely worth the detour.

A perfect journey, from the amuse-bouche to the mignardises, through the wide selection of cheeses. The fish, the meat, the desert, each one alone, worth going there. Fine wines. Not overpriced for such excellence.
