Did not disappoint - excellent all round

We had lunch here on a weekday and the restaurant was fairly full. We had the Menu Degustation which was Euro 195 for four plats plus bits in between. Eye-watering though that price is, one only has to compare with similar menus at 3 star restaurants in Paris, to realize that it could... read more

We had lunch here on a weekday and the restaurant was fairly full. We had the Menu Degustation which was Euro 195 for four plats plus bits in between. Eye-watering though that price is, one only has to compare with similar menus at 3 star restaurants in Paris, to realize that it could, theoretically, be called " a bargain". So...what... More

Michelin 3-star restaurants can be a disappointment - too stiff, overpriced, lacking charm. This wonderful restaurant gets it right in every respect. Genuinely friendly and charming staff who are peerlessly efficient. Fantastic, inventive food, every course surprised and delighted us. Expensive as you'd expect, but much less so than other restaurants at this level, and the - predictably huge -... More

We arrived on a rainy night and were greeted by the absence of Valet Parking, with no parking available near the restaurant. Surprising for a Michelin 3 Star rated establishment, of which there are only twenty seven in France. After a walk in the rain, our meal started with the L’amuse bouche, which was excellent. Next were escargots done as... More

We had the most wonderful evening at this beautiful and delicious restaurant. We were traveling with another family and since we were just visiting and had no sitter, brought our children. I will preface this to say that this is not a restaurant for children per se. BUT, in the style of true hospitality, they catered to our mini gourmands... More

Stayed here as part of a Burgundy Grand Cru Cycle tour with Belle France (https://bellefrance.com/holidays/cycling/gourmet) but would have made a detour by car to enjoy the experience! Avoided the €195 per person menu by having the Menu de L'Instant as part of our package. Not sure i could have managed the full degustation! Chagny itself is not the most picturesque... More

Probably the finest meal I have ever had. It was obvious from the amuse bouches that we were in for a treat.....I cannot wait to return.

We took three tours of this small town to find the hotel – it has a great big arrow pointing to it, but we hadn’t realised it was just on the corner where the arrow pointed. A trip to the tourist office didn’t help, but a very charming French lady hopped in the back of our car and showed us... More

We've been here twice, and on both occasions eaten some of the best food in our experience. The presentation is superb, from the multiple canapes right to the end. Notably, for a three rosetted restaurant, the staff - particularly the more senior members - are charming and smiley. The wine list cannot be said to be inexpensive. It's a shame... More

A perfect evening. Astonishingly good food, charming service, lovely atmosphere. one of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. One hint - the Menu L'Instant was ample, so do not fear you won't have enough to enjoy. every course has courses before and after!
