Very pleasant meal

I went with a friend and we were quite early in the evening, so no trouble with a table; it did fill up after we arrived though, so booking might be a good idea. We chose the set menu @ E37 (no euro sign sorry) and my friend had the gratin of crabwith leeks, which she said was delicious, I... read more

Our 3rd visit, previously ok good value Formula Menu, however this had changed and only more expensive menu available. I had steak which was tough and tasteless. My partner has mussels and writes. Mussels were boiled to death, miniscule meat and utterly tasteless. We will not return. Should have complained but it is a small busy restaurant and it would... More

On an evening when many restaurants were fully booked we found this one where we were given a table without reservation. I cannot complain about the dinner which was average (the set menu at € 24 had a choice of dishes that other restaurants didn’t have) but the overall experience was not satisfactory. The ventilation system was weak and we... More

Be very careful here. We were drawn to the restaurant by a recommendation from the neighborhood and a posted menu that offered demi homard avec mayonaise @ 26 euro. In itself, that's an excessive price for half a lobster, even in France, but that was what one of us wanted. The Tripadvisor decal on the door convinced me that it... More

I have not stayed at the hotel, but I have used the restaurant on two separate occasions ( consecutive lunchtimes Wed 28th May and Thurs 29th May 2014 ). My first visit was a great success and as a result I advised my friends of the great experience I had enjoyed and encouraged them to visit the place. My second... More

We arrived about 7.30 to find it very busy but we were lucky to get a table. It is primarily a fish restaurant with live lobsters and crab in a tank. I do not like that. We all had the 3 course meal for 17€ And it was enjoyable. Our fish loving friend enjoyed his 6 oysters as a starter... More

We each chose a live lobster from the restaurant window. Maybe the chef had gone home and there was a last minute fill-in? A beautiful, live lobster deserved a simple grilling: what could be more straightfoward? Unfortunately the result for each of us was dry, over-grilled and disappointing. Does this restaurant rely on a captive market of ferry passengers choosing... More

You would expect excellent fresh fish in a port like this and in this restaurant you get it! Quite small inside and very popular, even with locals, and a little cramped and crowded. But good atmosphere and excellent menu compensates.

Not ours -but the restaurant owner's family. The restaurant manager was nervous to provide service and we felt that we did not receive the whole of his attention. the atmosphere was almost rude enough to be similar to an Italin experience - where you can often expect such treatment. Having said that - the food was excellent and well presented. For... More

Spent a night in the hotel on the way back to Plymouth and the natural thing was to eat at the restaurant. We were not disappointed and would go every time when passing as the food and the service were of a first class. They do know how to cook and serve fish, crabs and mussels. If compared to Cornwall...
