Evening meal on holiday

Well cooked, well presented tasty food. Would eat there again? Menu large enough to provide a choice and service efficient and friendly. However writing this 4 nights later, I recall more the pleasant waiting staff than the meal which whilst very nice was not memorable as such.

This is clearly a place for locals - I think there was only one other English-speaking table in the entire restaurant. Their shellfish is as good as you'll find anywhere in Roscoff, but the fish dishes are only average. Do not order lobster unless you fully understand that it's actually priced per 100 grams. Yes, it says you can get... More

We have eaten in this restaurant on each trip to Roscoff to catch the ferry home and it has always been excellent and good value for money. The food is very well presented and the choice varied. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had originally booked a table for 6 through Logis Centrale, but had to cancel one couple... More

Our 3rd visit, previously ok good value Formula Menu, however this had changed and only more expensive menu available. I had steak which was tough and tasteless. My partner has mussels and writes. Mussels were boiled to death, miniscule meat and utterly tasteless. We will not return. Should have complained but it is a small busy restaurant and it would... More

I went with a friend and we were quite early in the evening, so no trouble with a table; it did fill up after we arrived though, so booking might be a good idea. We chose the set menu @ E37 (no euro sign sorry) and my friend had the gratin of crabwith leeks, which she said was delicious, I... More

On an evening when many restaurants were fully booked we found this one where we were given a table without reservation. I cannot complain about the dinner which was average (the set menu at € 24 had a choice of dishes that other restaurants didn’t have) but the overall experience was not satisfactory. The ventilation system was weak and we... More

Be very careful here. We were drawn to the restaurant by a recommendation from the neighborhood and a posted menu that offered demi homard avec mayonaise @ 26 euro. In itself, that's an excessive price for half a lobster, even in France, but that was what one of us wanted. The Tripadvisor decal on the door convinced me that it... More

I have not stayed at the hotel, but I have used the restaurant on two separate occasions ( consecutive lunchtimes Wed 28th May and Thurs 29th May 2014 ). My first visit was a great success and as a result I advised my friends of the great experience I had enjoyed and encouraged them to visit the place. My second... More

We arrived about 7.30 to find it very busy but we were lucky to get a table. It is primarily a fish restaurant with live lobsters and crab in a tank. I do not like that. We all had the 3 course meal for 17€ And it was enjoyable. Our fish loving friend enjoyed his 6 oysters as a starter... More

We each chose a live lobster from the restaurant window. Maybe the chef had gone home and there was a last minute fill-in? A beautiful, live lobster deserved a simple grilling: what could be more straightfoward? Unfortunately the result for each of us was dry, over-grilled and disappointing. Does this restaurant rely on a captive market of ferry passengers choosing... More
