Beautiful location on the "Cote Sauvage", small menu but perfectly formed, excellent service, both quick and friendly. The food is very tasty. I just cannot fault it.

From a distance the place looks a bit homely, more like a café than an actual restaurant. For luxury, go to Quiberon itself. The Vivier obviously does not aspire at a Michelin star, nor even at an illusion of cozyness. But while there is nothing posh about the place, it does deserve a recommendation for both the view and the... More

Right at the côte sauvage of west Quiberon, we arrived late after many detours on our road trip. We were hungry but wanted to catch the sunset at the same time, so we decided to give this place a go! I had the smoked fish platter while my hubby had the seafood platter. The service was swift, a very good... More

The best thing about this place is the view, especially at sunset. We found a hair on our glass and it took a long time to get served. The place was so hot, and no one opened the windows. However, The food is good and reasonably priced.

Being fortunate enough to live half an hour away from Le Vivier we can visit it regularly. I have to say that it is consistently good but the a fish restaurant which is run by fishermen's families should be. For this reason you really do need to book at most times of the year, particularly as those who book get... More

A great situation overlooking the Côte Sauvage, where they serve simple fresh shellfish at very fair prices. Best to book to be sure of a table. The service is friendly & efficient and I very much appreciated the advice on the best way to get into a spider crab. The Muscadet was good too.

We wanted to find a place up on the rocks overlooking the see!!!! Boy did we find it. This little house serves up the best Mussels and Frittes anywhere! The Fish soup was amazing, however it was a broth only, no chunks of fish. Still real tasty. Service was great. This is a must after driving out the peninsula!

Quiberon... beautiful part of the World. Le Vivier, lucky restaurant located on the most incredible stretch of coastline in that beautiful part of the World. Where they have been clever, is that despite the location justifying a 5* restaurant only accessible to the most fortunate, Le Vivier is affordable and open to all. The menu is small, the food is... If you are within an hours drive, do make the detour! Two reasons: the wild coast, côte sauvage that starts pretty much where the restaurant is situated, and the food at Le Vivier. Was there on a sunny day in November during the week, with no tourists anywhere (besides me). Came in for a coffee on that windy day, stayed... More

We were struck by 'le difference'. In the UK this location would be ripe for a downmarket greasy chippie selling overpriced microwaved junk. Here in France they do things differently. The restaurant wasn't in any way upmarket, but the food they served was top quality fresh fish dishes cooked by chefs who liked food that tasted amazing. The list of... More
