Flatters to Deceive

It gives a good impression on the outside, but once you're trapped on the inside, it all goes a little awry. It's a shame really, as the prices are (for this town and this region) quite competitive. My wife and I both chose the menu at 14.90 Euros. Three courses for that price sounded good value... read more

Opted for the €14.90 formula and the choices were limited but it had everything we wanted on it and funnily enough both my wife and myself chose the same meals. Foie gras on toast with a lovely onion marmalade. This came out instantly and I didn't have time to even sip my wine. Next was the crispy fried keg of... More

After several discussions on where to eat we settled on Les Chevaliers and selected the €14.90 menu (you get what you pay for sometimes). The entrees were tasty, the main courses quite strange. The duck had a crispy pastry over it that didn't quite work and was only warm in the middle, the beef was very chewy and the cakes... More

We took a trip out to Sarlat whilst staying in Souillac to have a wander round and grab some lunch. We had been on Market days before, and because it is usually so busy we had not noticed the little alley where Les Chevaliers is. After a quick look at the menu we thought we would give it a go.... We were visiting the market during our stay in Rocamadour and came upon this little gem by chance - it was really busy and the customers were mainly french. Lovely setting, friendly unhurried service and a most enjoyable reasonably priced three course lunch, cooked perfectly. Will recommend to friends !

In a cozy corner of the ancient city we happened upon Les Chevaliers de le Tour after checking off two other restaurants from Trip Advisor, one only open for dinner and the other no patrons and no discernible staff. Lucky us! For a very reasonable price, in ou group of three, we had the sautéed Foie Gras with fruit sauce,... More

Loved the location, the atmosphere, the fact that French people wee eating here, and of course the food was great. Great that is so long as you like duck - and we did. Duck is practically compulsory on many of the locally themed menus, and Les Chevaliers is no exception. The Salardaise potatoes were superb and suitably wreaking of garlic,... More

There are so many restaurants serving up the same food in and around the market, I'm not sure why we chose this one but it was pretty decent The service was good and very quick. Food was very tasty and the confit duck in pastry was great. Im sure you could do worse than this place

This is a tourist trap with poor quality food. It is in a pleasant setting but we did not enjoy our meal and regretted going here.

We were recommended to visit this restaurant by a Belgian family that happened to be staying in our previous accommodation in the Gironde area. They had just come from Sarlat-la-Caneda and we were on our way. We found this restaurant on our second night after the first nights meal in another establishment in Sarlat-la-Caneda was awful! Atmosphere, attentiveness of the... More
