Good food in a nice spott

Really nice tasty food in a great location, very good value too. The staff were very helpful as there was 9 of us. They even set up extra tables.

Recommended by Terri from La Lanterne, this is a lovely family run restaurant, with outside seating , a great place to people watch, next door to the Cathedral. Delicious, rich, local food, good recommendations for wine, friendly and efficient service.

We ate here on a very hot that in July. We opted to eat inside with the air con. Service was fine but we had to ask for water. I had the salmon tartare and my husband had the foie gras - both were lovely. For our main we both had the steak but neither of liked the goats cheese... More

After a walking tour of Sarlat on a 100-degree day, we chose this restaurant among many others because it was air conditioned! It turned out to be a very good choice because of the food. The four of us had salads, chicken Caesar or warm goat cheese, which were excellent. The service was very good

We had a relaxed dinner after a long day of traveling at this bistro. The food is fresh and regional, sort of simple homey type of French. The location is great, in the heart of the medieval city, so a nice spot to soak up the atmosphere. If you're not looking for anything fancy and a spot to try the... More

We stopped here for lunch. We sat just inside but at the window, which was great as we could both look out. The service was ok but not overly friendly. The food was good - the steak was cooked well and the beetroot and goats cheese salad was delicious. The reason for a 3 star rating is that there is... More

We were in town on a Sunday night and not much seemed to be open, not sure why. Good food, good service, and it was nice to eat al fresco. I had the leg of lamb with a fig sauce, very tasty, a special that night.

We had a copy of a well known guide book and was hoping that it will lead us to a good last meal in the Dordogne area. Having trekked around for 20 mins looking at the recommended places, we decided that there were not suitable. Just when we were about to collapse in despair, we stumbled upon Le Bistro. The... More
