We are staying just down the road and found this a convenient and pleasant place to eat just out of the old town area in Sarlat. It has a local menu but we chose the veal and cod and enjoyed both our meals and the polite and attentive service with good wine choices. It seems quite popular and was almost... More

A great meal here the other week!! The menu is relatively small and specialises in food popular in this part of France mainly duck and Goose based dishes. My meal consisted of fois gras, goose and ile flotante. All were excellent and the cahors red went perfectly with it. Service was fantastic, the price was very good and its only... More

We have eaten here at least 5 times over the past three years. It is a consistently super restaurant. There are always great choices available from the specials. Unlike my husband, I don't like foie gras and I'm not a huge fan of duck or goose. However, I always find something delicious here, often the beef. The service is always... More

With a recommendation, we had excellent food at this bistro ten minutes walk from the old town centre. Salad and duck carpaccio starters both superb. Excellent veal for main course, though truffle tagliatelle a little bland. Good desserts and cheese, and a nice range of wines. Plenty of duck and foie gras dishes too. Definitely felt a cut above the... More

We booked the day before and got a good table, the staff were friendly just not on the ball yes they were busy and probably understaffed but that should not be passed onto the guest. We were left for 10 minutes before anyone asked us about drinks, and another 10 minutes before food order was taken... there was no theatre... More

Arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation (we had thought 19h00 but the restaurant does not actually open until 19h15). Nevertheless, they showed us right away to a table situated at the tip of the terrace overlooking the city and got us drinks. This was only the start of the attentive and friendly service we experienced all evening. Cuisine was... More

I found information about this restaurant here at TripAdvisor. It is important to reserve a table in advance for dinner. I would say it's good restaurant with reasonable prices but not more than that. If you plan to have dinner I think it's would be better to reserve a table inside the restaurant because its a little bit dark outside.... More

Was here with my family for dinner. The team is clearly well trained and efficient, food was better than most restaurants in Sarlat. The fact that it's located slightly away from the main streets meant it wasn't surrounded by tourists like most other restaurants. What's spoilt it was the team's unwillingness in moving our party to an outdoor table when... More

A visit to the Octroi is always a pleasure. This is an authentic French bistro and a favourite of the local business community in Sarlat. The new verandah has made outdoor eating a delight, whatever the weather. There is also a terrace. Food is freshly prepared to order and simply served with style. Excellent value for money, attentive and welcoming... More

The food at this restaurant was excellent along with the location and atmosphere. The service was also very good. Unlike many other restaurants in Sarlat, the menu was not overshadowed by mostly duck and foie gras dishes. The highlight was the 9 piece dessert tasting plate! Highly recommended.
