Great dinner!

We went here twice during our stay in Sarlat and found it very good on both occasions! I had the duo of foie gras on each visit, followed by the Veal Rossini - absolutely delicious! My wife had asparagus and their duo of foie gras and loved her dishes too. You have to try the duo of foie gras -... read more

Excellent quality food and great service! Goose is exceptionally good. Lovely terrace where you can watch the world go by.

We had dinner at this bistro twice while in Sarlat. It's a little more upmarket, with decent three course meals. The goose in particular is good. If your looking for a relaxed evening away from the busy town centre with good regional food, this is the one. I can definitely recommend it.

After a few disappointing meals since starting our road trip across France, this restaurant lived up to its outstanding reviews. There were 4 of us (2 couples) and we decided to mix and match the set menus. The waiting staff were really friendly and despite the slight language barrier, made us feel really welcome. Each plate came with a mixture... More

A nice place outside of the old city. Mainly locals. It has Decent food & service. Not great though. Probably would not return. Standard fare of duck, duck, more duck.

Good food Good value Good service, 10 minutes off the touring trap but well worthwhile. Back again for sure. Set Menus offer good choice and wine not overpriced.

The restaurant itself and the setting was lovely however we attended on a night when a bus load of tourists decided to also attend and subsequently it was rather noisy. The chicken cassoulet was wonderful as was the entrecôte.

The evening before visiting this restaurant we had our most expensive and rather average meal at another establishment. Lunch here restored my faith. We had the 14 Euro menu of entree, plat, wine and coffee or you can replace the entree with dessert. We both agreed that the plat was amongst the best we have had from almost four weeks... More

Our group of 24 was offered two appetizers and two entrees. All four dishes were excellent, as was the molten chocolate cake for dessert. The appetizers were pan-sauteed foie gras and mixed salad with shredded warm salmon: very tasty. Entrees were duck breast fillet and cod steak in mushroom sauce.

We had a wonderful dinner here last night. We had the fixed menu, and loved the pate de fois Gras, duck breast, and delightful dessert...floating "Alice", a light meringue in cream with caramel sauce. The service was excellent and helpful, since our French is so poor. We strongly recommend.
