delicious dinner on the patio

Lovely outdoor garden in a charming side street . Service was good. Food was creative with an unusual but pleasant display form. Quite romantic.

Came here for dinner, located down a small side street just off the main street; the service was friendly and reasonably efficient, with some English spoken; however the food was terrible – we had the melon and jamon as our starter, with walnut sauce. The presentation was basic – chunks of chopped up melon and stringy jamon. Our mains were... More

My foie gras and its bed of ginger were burnt, and the strong vinegar poured over the concoction wasn’t enough to destroy what was left of the burnt taste. My unusual pig’s trotter, cooked for five hours with boletus mushrooms in its pastry sachet was burnt, and the vegetables, served with it, did nothing to alter that taste either. The... More

The tuna tartare is fantastic but the scallops weren't fresh, we're rubbery and overcooked and the cod was dry! The amuse bouche that they give you is lovely as well! The staff is sweet but unfortunately the food isn't up to scratch!

Beautiful location in an old building. Cosy decoration. Nice terrace. French food in a modem style. For couples. Good service. We liked the mixture of flavours in the food. Good foie

This was in a little side street of the main street and had a pleasant outdoor garden setting. The service was fine but there was no English spoken although this was not an issue. The food was very well presented but a little tasteless. Maybe typical French in this region but I found it a little heavy on the duck... More

One of the highlights to our recent trip to the Dordogne region of France was a meal at Le Quatre Saisons in Sarlat. We arrived at the restaurant with a rather large group (13 people) on rather short notice. The restaurant staff was very accommodating and gracious in spite of language difficulties. The food was excellent, with highlights including foie... More

Although the restaurant was not so busy, it was friendly and welcoming! We were served by Dany, a scion of popular restaurants in Sarlat. She helped us with our choices and delivered them with panache. Especially the flambéed lamb! They have a fabulous wine list - it would be easy to go mad with it - but we limited ourselves... More

This spot was amazing; chosen by our group tour director we enjoyed "jars" of fresh mushroom soup, lovely haricots and an entree with a jar of sobayan custard with berries for dessert; excellent wine choices too.

A Lonely Planet recommendation, this restaurant provided us with a delightful lunch. We had checked out a variety of possibilities in Sarlat and settled on this. The starter for both of us was an escalope of duck liver, served quite rare. What made it outstanding was the fruit compote served with it, heavy on the ginger and tasting of cinnamon... More
