Creatively designed and well executed cuisine. As expected, this is a restaurant that works for and deserves its Michelin star. The restaurant was shared with locals and regulars, and a smattering of tourists. The staff was competent and gracious with English, which mirrored the service. The Amuse was a fun and delightful melange of flavors. The fish was fresh and... More

This is not just a restaurant, it is an opera house dedicated to the Art of Cuisine. Let the Chef Team guide you and you'll see. Best Food ever.

One of the best Michelin starred restaurants we have visited. On holiday with two small children (6 & 8), the restaurant was very relaxed with a fantastic children's menu, even for the fussiest of children. Fantastic and elegant menu, wine list, friendly staff, definetely visit again if in the area. maître d' was a warm a lovely lady, when we... More

We had an excellent diner at this Michelin star rated restaurant, with tastefull and well prepared dishes form a correctly priced 4 course menu. One small remark on the wine is that the bottle of regional red wine was taken from a cupboard in the dining room in stead of coming from the cellar, so the wine was by far... More

Located near train station within easy walking distance of the old city this is truly a local gem. Attentive service, menus of increasing levels of complexity, this restaurant is clearly able to delight the traveller looking for an lovely meal. Recommend the foie gras, fish and soufflé. Staff knowledgeable and helpful with wines.

The food was wonderful, and the service was even better. All the waiters spoke good English and were easy to understand. They even had the meny in English, so as a tourist is was easy to see and understand what was what. Really Michelin worthy, highly recommended .

A few days ago, our group of 4, thoroughly enjoyed a magnificent, delicious lunch - absolutely outstanding. From the moment we were warmly welcomed at the door, and shown to our round table, we felt that we had booked the right place. The service was impeccable, and our courses were timed appropriately. The menu and wine list was extensive and... More

Vacillating between three and four rating. A good experience, but not outstanding. The majority of the courses were excellent, some unexpwcted, but excellent combinations, but the plat was an insipid beef dish, overdone and without much flavor. Most of the waitstaff were excellent, but one waitress was quite brusque, barely informing us of the lunch menu - a quick choice... More

Le Grand Bleu is hard to appraise based on a single experience. The room is a bit stuffy, the service oddly stiff and almost unfriendly, the food well prepared, although in a way peculiar. There's a lot of foam, and one begins to wonder if there's more chemistry than cuisine. Often it works, and subtle flavors emerge. However, many of... More

We have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. The food is always excellent as is the welcome and service. Anyone visiting this part of the Dordogne should book a table.
