Ended up here for lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Actually managed to get a large draft beer at first order ( honestly you would not believe how hard that can be) along with a great pizza and a lush side salad, what more could you wish for.

We only ate there because the old, rude waitress in Chez Domi was impatient and then ignored us. So we moved into the 'du Marche seating area. Their loss Bar du Marche's gain. Great lunchtime meals (super pizza) with excellent service! Thank you!

The 14th of March. Friday in Brantôme. One of the first nice and sunny days in 2014. After visiting the weekly market, the five of us (two British with small dog & two Dutch) sat down for lunch. It was warm enough to sit outside. While looking at the menu we were served the ordered 3 beers and 1 cider.... More

Lovely location, although it was raining, on a cobbled courtyard (shared by two restaurants, possibly three in the summer), next to the river. The service was very quick we ordered 2 Ricard, 2 Pizzas, 50cl of their house Rose and 2 coffees and the bill was Euro 35.70. The service was efficient and friendly, the wine and pizzas were great... A rainy day in Brantome, can be rather dismal. We took shelter under the green awnings and had a perfectly lovely lunch, two crispy tasty pizzas, a carafe of red, a few coffees, and truly friendly service. We forgot about the rain, watched people with umbrellas scurrying by, and felt quite happy.

As in most places in France you can't eat before 7pm, so this place was pretty busy straight away, considering they cater mainly for families. A great atmosphere on the terrace opposite the bar which is, rather confusingly, in front of another bar. The service was excellent. Fun waiter trying to speak everyone's language and great with small children. The... More

On our first night, this was the only restaurant that could take us, the others being booked out. The waitress was friendly, but had too many tables to tend, which resulted in slow service. The food was acceptable, but not exceptional. Touristy is a good description. Overall impression was that we satisfied our hunger , not that we enjoyed typically... More

We wanted to sit outside the bar for a quick coffee, there were 4 off us and there were two tables outside. One with 3 seats and another with 2. I moved one chair to the table of 3 so we could all sit together. I was abruptly told I could not do that and only 3 people could sit... More

Hello, In a purpose of the truth I am grateful to answer you here. The table in quoted by the bar is accessible only to 3 persons maximum for safety reasons, because it is situated on a small wooden stage. A second terrace of 70 places is available on only 3 meters of the bar, we suggested you there serving... More

You sit in the square under brightly coloured parasols and the food appears from the little bar just across the street. Service is brisk and cheerful. This is a tourist place, so don't expect haute cuisine, but the salade rustique at 9 euros is very good value and if you have a sweet tooth try the cafe-gourmande - a cup... More
