We stumbled onto this restaurant whilst driving through Brantome after our restaurant of choice happened to be closed. There is a nice terrace area at the front of the restaurant, but because there had been a heavy rain storm a little earlier and the seating was wet we decided to eat inside, which turned out to be a mistake. The... More

We ate here on two occasions, the first because their "sister" restaurant was closed. It was very fortuitous, because we ended up eating there twice and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. Their specialty is meat cooked on the rotisserie, and the evening we were there it was Pork. Delicious! Super friendly staff, very helpful. Lovely terrace. Perfect for dining on a... More

We had a very good meal here on a wet, chilly evening, beside a log fire. The portions were generous and the service excellent. I, though, made a serious mistake by choosing an entree of gesiers with smoked duck, followed by confit of duck. The prawn tart would have been much more sensible, but it was all beautifully done. A... More

We were directed to this restaurant by the Relais Chateau in Brantome because the Relais did not serve luuch. It was nothing special and in fact we regretted our choice. And were surprised by the recommendation. The starter salad was ok but the chicken main course was awful. It looked like a chicken leg sitting in brown cream on top... More

A well dome steak came with blood pouring out of it with an ant topping! He insisted that it had come from the tree and not the kitchen. Overall terrible and over priced.

This lovely restaurant is a little bit away from other popular touristy venues but well worth the visit. There is a car park across the road, so no excuses! We had a beautiful crayfish tart followed by duck, our daughter had a plain omelette and chips. All food beautifully cooked and presented. Excellent service, lovely terrace, clean and friendly! Little... More

The restaurant is in the family of the Moulin de l Abbaye, the food is OK, but nothing really great, everything is average, except the service that was better and the staff is very nice

Beautifully cooked duck confit, delicious cod and risotto and chocolate fondant perfectly done. Traditional building. Good service, with a smile. Its partner restaurant by the river "Au fil de l'eau" specialises in fish dishes. A great find in this beautiful smal town surrounded by the river.

Been here now twice. It's nice atmosphere and the food is good. Not too kuch choice but then the attention to the food is good. Would come back here.
