Absolutely amazing meal and lovely wine from an exceptional cellar. Great service courteous and understanding -we ate from the 65€ set meal and between the 4,adults all options were eaten Foie GRAS to lamb to monkfish all brilliantly prepared and served. As a non sweet person even I enjoyed the deserts. If in the area you have to give it... More

The set course lunch on the terrace on a sunny day is seriously romantic and delicious. Pretty as a piucture and food very good, particularly for the price.

We had booked in advance and were eagerly anticipating having dinner in the restaurant of the hotel where we were staying. It was superb and exceeded our expectations in every way.

The view, ambience and setting makes this place perfect but you do pay the price for it being in brantome. If you have a driver amongst you, try moulin de roc in champagnac de belair, 6 km away and Michelin star for only 29euro for set lunch menu. But in all honest this is one of the best restaurants I've... More

When we first arrived at Brantôme we couldn't believe what a fantastic location the hotel had. A very pretty building that over looked the river and 16th Century bridge. Unfortunately this impression was very quickly spoilt, when we learnt that we weren't staying there at all. All that building contains is the restaurant, bar, lounge and a small reception. The... Fantastic location........eating alfresco by the River Dronne on a sunny day is a wonderful experience. The food, service and wine were all excellent. Be prepared to spend some money.......our lunch bill for 2 people was 200 euros. Special Birthday.......we will be back!

We had lunch on the terrace by the Dronne river next to the weir, it was an idyllic setting! The menu Perigord was pricey but truly exceptional. The choice of top quality wine is impressive with great advice given by a lady sommelier and the staff was attentive and professional. A superb experience.

Brantome is a delight and the setting of Le Moulin de l’Abbaye is idyllic. The terrace situated right next to the river overlooks the weir, and the rapidly moving water provides some cool during summer heat. This Hotel and restaurant has two Michelin stars; expensive you may think, yet you will pay half the amount that you would expect to... More

This was by far the best meal we ever had in the Perigord. Expensive yet worth every penny, this restaurant competes easily with Michelin star restaurants back home (Netherlands) with great attention paid to flavour as well as appearance. Every single course (out of six not counting an additional two amuses!) looked amazing and tasted divine. (One may also choose... More

We dined here for my mother in law's birthday on a family trip and it was a superb meal. High quality food and service to match, nothing was too much trouble.
