The best 'plateau de fruit de mer' in a typical 'Parisian' brasserie. Not cheap but good quality. Also notified in the Michelin Guide and Gault & Milau.

This restaurant is known to be 'the place to go in Arcachon'. We were not disappointed by the food (although portions could have been more generous) but by the table we had: facing the toilets. So ask for a table inside the restaurant! The food was ok and to the expected quality. A pity we had to leave without desserts... More

Came in for a hurried meal as we were pressed for time, and were told oysters and a half bottle of white wine wouldn't take long. We did have to wait a while anyway. The food itself was good. We ordered three half-dozen oysters, and although they were pricier than we'd expected, they were not bad. There was one piece... More

We've eaten at Chez Yvette on several occasions over the years and, as usual, the experience this time was up to standard. It's not the best restaurant in the town, and the staff experience can be very mixed, but the food and wines are usually dependable. This year was as good as others, with a very nice waitress. It's one... More

Ive had Fruits de Mer in Boulogne, La Rochelle, Marseilles but this was to die for. Starting with a dozen oysters, then Lobster and Langostine with a nice white Burgundy - sorry Vins de Bordeaux this was an excellent meal. We were served by a charming lady who was both efficient and knowledgeable. But dont miss the dessert even if... More

I ate a whole crab and it made me sick for 3 days. The crab apparently comes from Brittany. My family also ate other seafood and were not sick. It was Easter Sunday and a special trip with my family while we were visiting France from London and Canada. I was unable to enjoy subsequent activities with them.

We went here for lunch and we're very impressed. Beautiful local oysters to start with then fresh lobster, langoustines, variety of fish, very large prawns and crab meat. The window of the restaurant shows all of the fresh produce on ice which is very impressive. The service was very good and the price was reasonable for the freshness of the... More

Nice restaurant featuring a large variety of seafood. It was hard to decide, but being a party of four we shared many of the delicious crabs, scallops, oysters and shrimps. The fish soup was excellent. The restaurant was full of people and the waiters worked hard but we had to wait to be served. Since outside it was raining this... More

Recommended by friends but did not live up to our expectations. Very mediocre. We had much better dining experiences elsewhere in the region Very inattentive service staff. Atmosphere and decor fit the seaside resort motif. Over priced, not a good value.

If you are a real seafood lover you will enjoy the various seafood platters which were undoubtedly very fresh. However if you are more of a fish lover and can cope with prawns, crab, lobster but not more esoteric seafood you may want to go elsewhere especially as service blows hot and cold. My scallops were excellent to start but... More
