Back again and not disappointed

Having not been to the Bilgola for a few years, we found ourselves there for a family lunch and was not disappointed. The place was just the same as our memory with the lovely Caro still in charge and her husband Ed slaving away in the kitchen.....how he gets such magnificent food out of the... read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find this little cafe to be very busy on a Wednesday afternoon - so busy that it was full when we left. We shared a blue shark starter which had a very light batter and came with a tangy dipping sauce. Next I had fish and chips which was just like the stuff I'm used... More

Great fresh food made from scratch, not pre-made in a factory frozen crap like in so many other restaurants in the area. Great terrace and atmosphere. We try to have brunch there every time were in the area.

We came across this place during a camping trip, when cycling around for a place to eat. It stood out to us because of the pleasant vibe that radiated from the restaurant, compared to everything around. The food was great, the burgers really are fantastic - although maybe not that cheap, and the friendly staff made sure we had a... More

Had amazing squid salad at this restaurant while my friend had an amazing looking burger - both meals were exceptional. It was hard to choose - the entire menu looked fantastic! Meals were well priced with generous servings. If I lived in the area it would be my restaurant of choice!

We visited this restaurant for lunch, the service was excellent even though the place was fairly packed. The wine and food were also great, this was one of our best meals in this part of France I would recommended it, the food isn't fine dining of anything like that but great iof you want a good feed.

We have found dining in France with our 3 small children at times challenging, but not so at the Bilgola Cafe where the kids were welcomed and our 4 year old son declared that his burger was the best he had ever had! When I received my on burger I had to concur with his assessment! It was great after... More

Upon arriving in Biarritz I found it difficult to attend to my appetite without having to hit up a corner shop after, for more munchies. I was told by a local friend that there was an Australian cafe about 15 min from Biarritz just along the Californian style coast line of Anglet. I borrowed my friends bike and was pleasantly surprised... More

My favourite meal through-out my Europe trip so far! Truly a piece of home for an Aussie but anyone can enjoy the casual a relaxed vibe created in Bilgola Cafe. It is perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch but turns into a gorgeous lit setting for a really nice dinner. The food was truly fresh and bursting with flavour,... More
