about every restaurant in Obernai we went to feels as if they are not really interested in their clients, more like 'how can we get these tourists out again asap' however, the food was ok, large portions (please do not order a starter; you will not need it!) and good value.

It's next to the square so my so my could go and play while we waited for food and after we ate. The service was very nice. My friend had the stew cooked in a clay pot and she loved it very much. It was a good experience of an Alsacian dish because none of us had the desire to... More

The location in the middle of the city, is very nice. A big outdoor area to eat, and this place is popular. A regular tuesday in beginning of june is was packed, but i have no clue why. We are in the heart of Alsace and i ordered a mixed platter with local specialities.Everything was poor quality and tasted like... More

Again good coffee was found in the pleasant restaurant. It was nice to sit outside in the sunny weather that was present. The service was good but we didn't try the foos as we wern't hungry.

I had to try Alsatian sauerkraut, which I had there. Don't need to do that again. The place was overrun and the few staff in the upstairs dining area were run off their feet. The food was not up to our hopes probably because the kitchen was also overwhelmed.

We ordered Wiener schnizel and they arrived in about one minute. Obviously REHEATED. Bit too dark and not like they can be: moist and crispy at the same time. Furthermore we are used to get two large pieces of meat when we order schnizel, this was one piece. The Cheescake was made with bread dough, not my favourite kind of... More

A very popular restauant on the main square - regrettably too popular! We made a booking in person 48 hours in advance and though we saw them writng it down, there was no teable set aside for us - nor was there one in the main hall on ground floor. We were sent upstairs, given a lousy table, then pushed... More

One tip. You should fast for at least one full day before considering having lunch here! Portions are abundant, alsatian style, food is very good, service is extremely courteous and professionnal, This is a family welcoming restaurant where, thanks to the efforts of Manager jean-Claude, one actually feels welcome. The Dining hall is tastefully decorated, and although it was fully... More
