There isn't a lot of traditional feel food to be found along mylopotas beach. Being Greeks, we felt that the food at Elpis was authentic. Very tasty and arrived within a reasonable time frame. The waiters were very friendly and professional. The bougiourdi (baked cheese with tomato and peepers) with delicious, as were the biftekia (something like big grilled meat... More

Excellent meals with a brilliant view over the beach in Mylopotas. We troed the local whit wine from Ios (€17) and it was very good. The place was busy, but service was good and they have free wi-fi.

Me and my boyfriend loved the food at Elpis and the friendly service there. And it was only down the road from our Hotel (Levantes), just about a 3 minute walk :)

One of the first and best Greek meals we had in Greece! You have to try the Arabian pita and spicy feta. We went back a second time with a big group. And sitting over the water.

I was won over from the minute I climbed the steps to the balcony restaurant & asked where I should sit..... Being a solo traveller/diner I'm used to being relegated to a table 'at the back', but here, the waiter suggested a table for 4 on the balcony edge, overlooking the sea!! Although my food the first night wasn't to... More

The location is great and we managed to get a table on the deck overlooking the beach. Ordered typical Greek fare-tzatziki and Greek salad to start both of which were very good. We always ask what seafood is fresh and choose accordingly. My wife had fried anchovies and I had the grilled sardines. Both very good and a generous serve.... More

Stayed next door at the iOS palace hotel... Decided to give it a go, we loved it.. Proper Greek sald well dressed, tsanziki, pita and olives were also very nice. We had chicken and pork souvlaki, both were really tasty! Just don't understand the 2 previous reviews... Maybe it because we stuck to typical Greek dishes... Makes sense being on... More

Overlooking the beach, that's a plus and that's all. Prices disproportionate to quality and quantity of food we got. Typical high prices for tiny portions in big plates, not even french meals are like these! I.e. I ordered stuffed zucchini. One big plate arrived with two small zucchini cut in half, which made them look even smaller. With the first... More

Elpis tavern is a fantastic choice for authentic Greek cuisine, in an amazing location which overlooks Mylopotas beach. We have been staying at Elpis Rooms just upstairs from the restaurant and have eaten in the tavern several times. The staff & service are fantastic and the food cannot be faulted. The saganaki & numerous Greek salad variations on the menu... More
