Lovely pub

Nice pub in pretty village serving very good food. Try the mussels which are served in am unusual way but really tasty and the pies are excellent. Well worth a visit. Reasonably priced too.

Nice pub in pretty village serving really lovely food and drinks. Well worth a visit or 2 or maybe 3. It is very reasonably priced. The staff are so friendly and the décor is beautiful. A lot of parking spaces and also an outside area for the good weather.

I visited here with my partner it was a spare of the moment thing. We were slightly confused how to order so I just went to the bar, maybe this should be made more clear. Food was lovely and a fair price! Would defiantly visit again :)

I regularly take an Aunt out to lunch, but this was our first visit to The Red Lion. The service was excellent and the food was great. My Aunt, who is usually fussy, was very happy with her sea bass and I had the tasty kofta.

Food okay, service second rate. Main meal okay; waited an age (20 mins) for the desserts to be served, whilst staring at our dirty plates, and only got the desserts after going up to the bar and asking. The restaurant was quite wouldn't like to see their idea of service when it was busy.

My wife and I took my elderly mother-in-law to the Red Lion this week and we had an excellent meal. The staff are really friendly and attentive and even allowed us to move tables to a quieter part of the restaurant. Drinks were brought to the table and we were even offered a jug of water. Starters included mushrooms and... More

Visited with family for evening meal. Two of our diners had things missing off their plates. Also fish which had been ordered with batter came breadcrumbed. By the time this was rectified, others had finished their meal. Nothing off the bill for their inadequacies. Not good enough. The Chef should check all plates leaving the kitchen.

Outstanding food, friendly staff and great value for money. From the stunning roasties to the meaty gravy, the food was spot on, best roast I've had in a long long time! Well done guys!

Went here for a nice but straight forward meal. Slightly unclear as to how service works as some seemed to be table service but then we ordered other bits at the bar. The food was certainly hearty! We had plenty of food to go round and it is very rare with this group that we give pud a miss but... More

Literally just left this pub after a 40 minute wait! No welcome at the bar, we were ignored; asked for a table and were seated. No drinks order taken initially. Had to wave down a waitress after 15 mins who took our drinks order. We never saw them! We waited and waited for someone to come back ( the manager... More
