Lovely restaurant in beautiful setting (we were sitting outside enjoying a perfect summer evening). We had very nice main courses and an amazing pistachio dessert that might be the best dessert i've ever tasted - if in Ljugarn you should not miss it!

Smakrike offers cosy atmosphere in a beautifully renovated building with a nice little garden and terrace. The food is very good but incredibly overpriced. We ordered turbot with potato stomp for main course. It was delicious, but for a price of SEK350 you certainly would expected more than two tiny baby filets on your plate that probably didn't weigh more... More

The last time we were at Smakrike was 2006. When we heard it was now a boutIque hotel we didn't hesitate to book remembering the amazing meals we had eaten there. The holiday was blessed with amazing weather (heat wave 2014!) and we had a wonderful week in Ljugarn but sadly Smakrike was not as we remembered. The hotel feels... More

This restaurant is situated in a rather small town (village?) without many options, and I chose it because of the recommendation of Tripadvisor. It is in fact very nice with a varied menu with a range of local specialties. The restaurant itself is low-key chique and has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff are very helpful in guiding you through... More

We chose to sit in the garden to eat our dinner and the atmosphere was beautiful. There is a table set in a greenhouse with a beautiful chandelier that is perfect for large family dinners or a nice gathering of friends. My friend and I shared two dishes because we couldn't stop eating each other's food. I had the most... More

Cosy and nice restaurant, we had a nice time just sitting on the porch. You can sit both inside this beautiful restaurant or outside, or even in a green house. We only had a tea and a brownie. The brownie with sea salt was amazing but don't forget to ask for some whipped cream. Good selection of Kusmin tea.

Had the tasting meny pairing - everything was quite good until the dessert arrived. What a disaster. Eventhough the whole table explained how disappointed we all were with the dessert, the staff more or less ignored us (I heard other tables complaining as well). Smakrike is not worth the money - the food is overpriced and not up to par.

Nice restaurant in the small village of Ljugarn on the east of Gotland. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and enjoyed both the food and the wines. Staff was friendly and attentive. Well worth the money.

We booked a table at Smakrike (means "Taste country" or "Taste land" if translated from Swedish) at the end of April. On the night we had booked a table we were the only ones in the entire restaurant! Even the staff found it odd as they were fully booked for the next night. We didn't really mind though and it...
