We really enjoyed our dinner here - the food was delicious. The service was also great - they were very accommodating with special requests :). Next time I'd like to try the outdoor dining - it looked very relaxing, with great views and an outdoor fire pit area. Here's their website: http://www.lajitasgolfresort.com/dining.html#candelilla

The tortilla soup was delicious and the burger was very tasty, but nothing special - not greasy, perfect meat to bun ratio, fresh veggies. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Kind of expensive for what you get, but no other choices around. Would recommend.

We were not guests of the resort but stopped on our way from Big Bend National Park heading to Presidio, Texas. We are happy we did! The dining room is a comfortable, tastefully decorated room with a lovely view of the patio, fountains and landscaping. We were served by a very pleasant young female who was friendly and professional. The... More

Had reservations and we were seated early! Service was exceptional and the views were spectacular. The wife had the fajitas and I had the Beef Tacos. Both were great. We will be Back!

Our server was exceptionally nice. The finishes and atmosphere were comfortable and luxurious. Too bad the food didn't match with enthusiasm and pride of craftsmanship. The fajitas, steak tacos and child's hamburger were just good. For the price, as with the hotel itself, the value was just not there. Prickly Pear margarita was weak, too. Shame, since the whole resort... More

We stayed at the resort for Spring Break. We ate at the restaurant and at The Thirsty Goat several times. The food was good every time. The service was a little slow, they were very busy because of Spring Break so it was understandable. It's A nice resort tucked in the middle of the desert mountains..we enjoyed it!

We love this area and always stop at the Thirsty Goat for a drink. We had dinner afterwards and the food was very good. Keeping in mind that they cannot just run down to the store when they run out of something, they do a fine job. Everyone in our group loved their entres. The price is really not much... More

Thirsty Goat is a bar with food from the Candelilla Café available. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food when we were here three years ago so we made the 30mile drive from Terlingua one night to try the place again. The bar has comfortable seating for groups in a setting of modern mixed with western frontier (the long bar and... More

My husband and I had breakfast at the cafe when we were in Lajitas with a group. The service was very slow. The buffet was fine, nothing spectacular. Expensive for the offerings. The staff seemed untrained and confused but pleasant.

The Lajitas resort pretends it is a top quality resort but the restaurant is slower than a wet week! We waited for over an hour for our food. We had to chase down our drink order. We would have walked out completely if it weren't for our waiter, Sandy. He was great. He did everything he could to get our... More
