This is a little hidden away and at first, you don't realise there is going to be the large al fresco eating area out the back. Food was very good. Especially the take on carbonara with truffles in the sauce - yum. Suckling pig pork chops were very flavoursome. Highly recommend a visit.

When entering the gate in Volterra, Del Duca is to your right. We had lunch in the garden which is lovely and they have big umbrellas to keep the sun off. We ordered the Cannelloni, fettuccine with rabbit and the house speciality Tuscan tomato soup. The soup is more like a very thick stew with no broth, very tasty and... More

We had a magical celebratory meal at Del Duca following our fantastic wedding at Palazzo dei Priori. From the outset, the restaurant and it's staff bent over backwards to make our day as special as possible. Claudia responded to emails fully and promptly and was more than helpful. She agreed to let us decorate the table and even set this... More

Had seen this restaurant on our first afternoon in Volterra and decided to go on our last of 4 nights in the town as a treat. We were not disappointed. While the restaurant itself may look empty as you pass most people choose to sit in the atmospheric garden to the rear of the restaurant. The garden setting was fabulous... More

We just landed on this spot to eat and we were very happy we did. The food was very tasty. I had the beef carpaccio, I ate with three others and they were all equally pleased with each of their meals. The Tuscan sausage bread soup was very hearty.

Just ate here tonight. If you like Florentine steak, this is the place. They bring the entire loin for you to choose how much of it you want. Then the owner cooks it over wood coals in an outdoor brick oven/grill. Went down really well with the merlot they produced. I really hope to revisit this place again in the... More

My husband and I took the cooking class at del Duca! We learned so much, had so much fun and ate such amazing food. Everything they do is fresh like herbs from the beautiful back patio u sit at, veggies delivered daily, pasta made to order! The service is top notch. We will be coming back to Volterra and del... We were in town for a conference and two groups of 18 of us were easily accommodated for dinner one night. The house wine was wonderful, and the food was outstanding. We spent 5 days in Volterra and every person who ate at this restaurant said it was their best meal. The staff couldn't have been nicer, the atmosphere was... More

This is owned by the family than runs Podere Marcampo. The cooking is typical Tuscan four course. The menu is broad, the quality good, and ambiance nice. Great wine list!
