Away from the busy main square in Volterra we enjoyed lunch outside one day and liked the food and hospitality so much we returned for an evening experience on another rainy day and were not disappointed. Great food and wine selection at reasonable rates.

Make sure you visit this restaurant during your stay in Volterra. It is the friendliest and best value, and we have visited many times. The food is consistently great, the staff are pleased to see you back and the bill is such good value there's no point cooking at home. Thank you Paolo, Roberta and Vadim ;-)

We were looking for da Beppino restaurant - we found it but it was closed. Across the way was this other restaurant, Il Pozzo Degli Etruschi. We have just returned from 5 nights in Volterra and used this restaurant twice - for a lunch and a dinner. We enjoyed all the dishes we selected. The staff were helpful and had a great sense of humour. I would thoroughly recommend eating here.

Next time I go to Volterra I will eat here EVERY evening! This is a great restaurant with really friendly staff and excellent food - I recommend the wild boar, the gorgonzola pizza and the ravioli. Great little restaurant. Excellent service with no hassle and great food. Varied menu, including Italian and non-Italian meals. Well worth a vist.

Excellent service and even better food! A real value for money. Hidden in one of the side streets it made it possible for our son to run around. Attentive service, great wine and the secondi platti were paticularly good. One tip though: just don't order the chef's antipasti it's nothing special.

This is my second time in Volterra and the second time eating here. My wife and I originally went here because they had some local specialty dishes (flat noodles in hare sauce). It was and still is delicious! I highly recommend this place and pretty much anything on their menu.
