Inconspicuous building the right side on the Don Minzoni street just after the old town portal to house La Pace trattoria. Simply and modest place ... with perfect local kitchen. Even don't try to eat in another place. Friendly staff and owners; that's true what Dan_B said: one of the nicest people we met in Italy. Meals good, everything tasty... More

Top notch meal at a great price! The owner took the time to talk with us and was one of the nicest people we met in Italia. It's amazing that this restaurant serves such good food at a great value in this touristy town. I highly recommend!

We've had a great time in Osteria La Pace. Both the home made pici (for some reason called spaghetti in the menu) and steak we've had were perfectly cooked. On top of that, we've been served by a fantastic, friendly waitress. Top notch place.

Had lunch here last week and had the best tiramisu ever ! Before then I had the wild boar pasta dish and husband had steak, both were delicious. Our waitress was friendly and spoke very good English . Doesn't look much from the outside but would visit again if in the area.

We just returned home from a two-week tour with 10 other people. I'm not sure how Osteria La Pace was chosen, but we couldn't have been happier. The owners were wonderful, and the group let them decide what to serve. A fresh pasta with a light sauce with porcini mushrooms and wild boar morsels was exquisite, but everything they brought... Based upon some good reviews from Tripadvisor we worked to find this restaurant. The first time we ate there, we were the only ones there. Still, the service was not great. We ordered pizza and a local bottle of wine. Both were reasonably good but not special. A few nights later, we were looking for a place to go with... More

Hidden off to the side of one of the entrances to the medieval town of Volterra is this small restaurant and coffee shop. We enjoyed a cup of Americano but the hostess also brought us a complimentary liquor wine and three pieces of cantuccim which they made in the establishment--no charge. The coffee was good and the cantuccim and liquor... More

We stopped here just before exiting the gates of the old town. What a lovely little place. The hostess spoke great English, which really helped us. We had a great cup of Americano coffee and a delicious homemade cantuccim. As we were enjoying our coffee the hostess came over to our table and gave us the biscuits and a glass... More

Very good place, nice and quiet atmosphere. We had Lasagne and Pizzas, all very good, and good red vine as well. Friendly waitress.
