Upon arrival to the restaurant we were greeted by the owner of the restaurant. The second she realized we were not Italian, we were treated in a disdainful and condescending manner. She was very abrupt and actually tossed the plates on our table. The food was too salty and inedible. We ordered chicory salad, but were served with lettuce instead.... More

So good! I ate here during my year in Italy multiple times and as soon as I go back, you better believe I will making this one of my first stops. I never had anything here I did not love, nor did the people I went with.

We enjoyed our dinner at Tre Re. It was during the June Arts Festival and many restaurants recommended to us in the old quarter were full. Tre Re was very nice. We shared an Eggplant Parmesan. It was tasty and flavourful. The Vitello wih Mushrooms on Crostini was delicious as was the Gorgonzola Pasta with Nuts. Don't expect gourmet food.... More

Food is good but not excellent and for a little city is overpriced. The restaurant is clean and cosy but the staff is less than friendly. We noted a mistake on the bill and instead of getting an apology we were annoyingly given the difference and asked to leave since there were people waiting for the table. It left us... More

Tre Re, has a long and interesting history. Started in the 1600s, the cozy restaurant presents an antique charm. The problem is that this place is coasting on its reputation. The staff was less than friendly and the food was average (which admittedly is better than average food in the United States). In a city with so many wonderful places... More

Not easy to find an open restaurant in central Viterbo and we came accross Risorante Tre Re by chance. Good honest food at reasonable price

This is a real authentic and old location, extremely small but with a lovely atmosphere really not easy to' find nowadays. The food is nice with mainly local recipes but they dont offer that wide choice of dishes. For sure the service could be improved starting from the manners.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We visited Tre Re twice during our stay in Viterbo. The food was absolutely fantastic. Additionally, we really appreciated the effort that the gentleman made to translate what something was one of the specials. We didn't know. He didn't know. We had our Italian dictionary and couldn't figure it out, so he went into the kitchen and brought out a... More

When I travel, I like to make sure to eat at places with lots of vegtables. In Italy, this isn't hard and I just make sure a place has good contorni. Good contorni is easy, but really memorable "contorni" is rare, but that's what we found at Tre Re. It is unusual to be able to say that you ate... More

I lived on this very street that the restaurant is on. I was fairly excited because the books all said to try this. But it is a bit overhyped. It is an okay restaurant. Their signature dish is done well. The Pollo Viterbese. But the staff is rushes and not friendly. And the rest of the food is so-so.
