Perfect aperitivo setting

Great location for an aperitivo on the steps of this fantastic old building, which today seems to serve as a bookshop. Small complimentary buffet served alongside any drinks ordered. A charming setting to begin an evening in Viareggio.

If you don't like over cooked lasagna with out almost any minced meat... And a very waiter that felt sorry for us for not liking it, no compensation what so ever.

Try padulaccio - it is fantastic! The only restorante that serves it. You will never forget this hot pan with seafood!!!!!

This review is based on four visits during past 7 years, both, business and leisure. When I did visit this place first time, about 7 years (or a bit more ) ago,it was grandiose - large, open to the sunset at sea, starched white tablecloths, candles, with white clad waiters and great menu. Not much have left of it today.Location is still great (just opposite to hotel... More

The restaurant is in one of the oldest building you can find in Viareggio, right on its promenade and this make you feel you are actually in the right place, helping forget the sometime slack table service (depending who is actually serving you). However, food-wise is ok, stay on the gnocchi to be rewarded but if you are form a... More

I had dinner on a Sunday night in late September. Very quiet, and after sunset, with just a few diners on the inside. I liked the location with the bar and the bookstore, with a lot of activity, but the restaurant has a private area with nice soft lighting. The tall and ancient ceiling and floor tiles are beautiful, and... More

One of the worts experience in Italy. This restaurant is the worst I ever been to. The food was tasteless and overcooked. The service was non existing and it was expensive. I would never recommend any one to go to this restaurant.

Over priced tasteless food and appalling service. Horrible lasagna, tasteless pasta with mussels. The only decent dish was a Spritz Aperol from bar and fish soup (frankly speaking after this soup I guess I get allergy). Surly service. Our waiter didn't want to give us a table - even that the restaurant was half empty. Unlucky, her boss decided to... More

Main guy: Made booking and remembered our name, shooed away loud band walking streets making money. Checked out all our needs. Another waitress was slack but that's pretty usual. Recommended prawns and scampi - perfectly cooked, squid and pasta in lemon - stunning, tuna - perfectly cooked/ gnoochi in gorgnzola/salmon to die for. Great wine and child (11) had biggest... More

We were a party of eight persons stopping here for a meal. We found the waiters distant and inattentive compared to other restaurants in the area. The food was OK, apart from the Scampi meal where we found that the shellfish was not cleaned and rinsed properly. There are many nice restaurants in the area and we would probably not... More
