Description: the large-scale retail trade for the attentionto quality and innovation, rather than to the brand or the fashions, Eros transformed his shop into areal amplified space constantly looking for new flavors, renewing and enlarging it with the creationof a maturing cellar in the centre of Intra and the recent creation of a tasting area of its bestproducts. And this is the magic circle, that single area in which the customer can immergethemselves with all five senses, to live a unique emotion that they are the protagonists in everyprocess of production. As they say, from the producer to the consumer without intermediaries.Under the arches of Ranzoni Square, in the heart of the historic centre of Intra, “La Casera” has nowbecome an institution among the food and wine lovers. The choice to specialize in refining localproduce results to be a winner. The cheeses chosen with care by Eros are seasoned in the naturalcellar, with attention to the nuances of aromas and flavours as in the case of “Robiola Incavolata”, afresh cheese that is matured in cabbage leaves for 20 days,or “Blue Vin Santo”, aged in oak barrelsfilled with esteemed Tuscany wine. “Robiole”,Tome Ossolane and Piemontesi “Taleggi, the famous“Bettelmatt” produced from raw milk of the“Bruna Alpina Piemontese” breed , are just a fewexamples of the wide range of products typically related to these areas, which you can find, taste, buyon the premises of "The casera“The shop with tables" This is how Eros presents the tasting area within the company. Because"TheCasera",since 16 March 2012 gives also the possibility to taste the best products in-store. Theproposal of the best brands also extends to wines, strictly belonging to the tradition of Piemonte, with the exception of “Prosecco of Biancavigna”, particularly appreciated by customers in the ritualhour of the aperitif."Bread and various fillings" of local producers are served on the tables . Eventhe dessert is carefully selected from the best recipes of traditional Piemontese pastry.

The first time we discovered La Casera by accident one year ago. Now we came back again to savour the marvellous cold specialties. As we are champagne addicts we are always delighted to find a fridge full of champagne. And all to a very reasonable price!

Fantastic selection of ham, salami and cheese. Be careful or have your credit card, but the quality is outstanding. You can also enjoy on the spot in the attached hosteria. Eros - the owner - knows everything about what he sells.

It's hard to choose from the menu because you would like to try it all. Focus is on ham, salami, salmon and cheese, not so much on vegetables. We had a rosé spumante, that was tasty and refreshing.

After many great reviews from friends my girlfriend and I decided to have an afternoon aperitivo at La Casera. We had just had lunch so we just ordered a nice bottle of Nebbiolo to share. They have a great deli inside and when our waiter realised we were not eating he sent us a large wedge of Gorgonzola, bread, grissini... More

It was a beautiful sunlit day and my husband and I decided to take a stroll down by the waterfront to have lunch. Afterwards we decided to look for this establishment as we had never been there before. All I can say is Wow what a wonderful find! We chose to sample a Sicilian Rosato which was terrific and soon... We popped by for a light wine and salami supper! It was just great, the staff and the owner, Eros, were very helpful. They made us try different wines before choosing the one we wanted, which was very nice of them. Then we ordered a cheese and cured meat platter from their deli counter which was freshly sliced for us.... More

I am an Italian-Canadian and I normally stop by the Intra area of the Lago Maggiore to see family ever year or so. This year a good friend of the family who owns a shop in Intra took me to La Casera for lunch on my first day on the lake. Do yourself a favour and try the Buffalo Mozzarella... More

We wanted a light dinner and decided to visit this delicatessen/wine shop that also serves food and wine. And what did "some cold cuts and some cheese" turned into? An unforgettable evening with so many different things to try that we lost track of what we had. Eros, the owner, is so in love with what he does that he... More

La Casera is not only food and wine, it is also a deli where you can buy all sorts of breads, cheese and meat. Every two weeks I drop in for a glass of wine (if not two) and a plate of cheese and cold cuts, all products are local and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is lovely as well, nice... More
