We came here as a couple, for the location. We just had a pasta each, and left after.. because the service was terrible. The waiter came while my girlfriend was at the restroom, I tried to tell her to come back in a minute to get our order but she insisted on asking my order while i was alone.

View is breathtaking, but pizza was the worst I ate all week. My recommendation: eat somewhere else and enjoy the view from the town square next to this restaurant

The pasta was the same as made at home & the calamari fritti ( fried calamari) was perfect. Local wine added the perfect touch Thank you to the beautiful family hosting. Famglia Fedele

We ordered a Pizza with N'aduja and pepperoni, starter of anchovies, salad and fish soup. All were excellent. Reading some of the bad reviews, but we had a good experience, so guess it is all about what you order. Wine is not really a product which Calabria is known for, it is more for its fiery cuisine.Local wine was mediocre... More

Turist trap is the perfect description for this restaurant. I could not understand how is possibile, in italy, to eat like this....my Spatola was rare...and with bad smell, probably cause the foods they cooked before on the grill.... Bread after two request, oil and vinaigrette in sticks...really bad looking....no tipical products on the table... Yes...view is breathtaking...but...please...a little effort to... More

That pizza would be laughed out of Napoli. Funny thing was that the spaghetti alle vongole was great. The view is superb though, so get a starter have a beer and then move on to another place for real food.

This is a typical tourist trap-restaurant-with-a-view. Everyone dreams to have a romantic dinner while the sun sets. I personally don't, because of the fact that food doesn't need any sight seeing. In this case we got terrible, even frightening food combined with a sour wine. This restaurant should be number 54 on 54 restaurants. Do not go there!

Had lunch there today sat on the terrace looking down over the beach. Beautiful setting. Ordered the parmigianno and the penne all arrabbiata with a mixed salad to go with. My wifes parmigianno came out ten minutes before my pasta but both were very nice although the portions arent very big. I had to send the salad back as yhe... More

This was our second trip to Tropea and we decided to have lunch at Al Cannone. We were a little skeptical because it is so close to the prime touristy area, but were desperate for some shade and pulled in by the view. The view could not be more amazing-- overlooking the Convento della Pieta and the sea. We had... More
