This is an amazing restaurant in Tropea, Italy. A liittle off the beaten track and behind the tourist traps selling indifferent food and spaghettiwitheverything. The menu is varied and the service excellent. I expressed a liking for the particular olive oil that was used in the restaurant for the bread and, because it is not obtainable in the local shops,... We ate at this restaurant three times in one week because the food was so much better than the other three restaurants we dined at. The setting outside is lovely but as it rained on our third visit we were inside which was very cosy and intimate. I loved the local antipasti so much I had to have it two... More

Not best in Tropea by any means for those accustomed to Italian food and with some knowledge of it. Starter of mixed local sea products was enjoyed by myself but not partner but a similar dish at other restaurants proved better. Pastas were ok but nothing more in truth, a lot of restaurants in the old town target the tourist... More

My wife and I visited La Lamia on our last night and wished we had been earlier ! The setting in a courtyard is excellent , the service a bit more formal than some , but friendly enough . The food was truly delicious and a cut above what we had had during our week in Tropea , although we... More

We ate at La Lamia twice during our weeks stay, both the meals were excellent, some of the best pasta we have tasted. The food is typically Italian with a modern twist. The restaurant is in a square just off the Main Street, surrounded by lovely old buildings so the atmosphere is very relaxed. Only criticism, for such a nice... More

What does it cost to train your staff to smile at the customer? The food and service were very good, but the staff were unfriendly.

The service was regular:we were two, we asked for a table as there were 4 available and they gave us one in the worst position justifying that at 21.45 they were waiting for the other 3 tables already reserved. The restaurant inside is too disco oriented and the music too loud, but the food, the antipasti misti and the pasta... More

This was our favorite restaurant in Tropea, and we ate here twice in our 1 week stay in Tropea. There are tables outside in a courtyard and well as indoor ones. We liked the food here, having a good range of fish and meat at reasonable prices. A nice bottle of the local red (ciro) could be had for 12€,... More
