Just dropped in - and will definitely come back !

Excellent food, the chef has apparantly worked in Michelin-starred restaurants, and the food was indeed much better than the average. Moreover, a great view and friendly staff. Not the lowest prices in Umbria, but certainly not unreasonable either.

Thats how we were treated. One of our party of 8 happens to be a very well respected chef whos restaurant is moving to outside the walls of Todi but is not open yet. Or we would eat there for all meals. The chef and sommelier both suggested a 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings. It took all the stress of... More

Todi is a fabulous town but finding a warm welcome when dining out is not always easy if truth be told. From the moment we entered, the staff were warm and friendly and utterly professional. The setting is interesting and atmospheric, with great attention to detail. The food was very, very good, service and the wine list was excellent. A... More

Four of us ate in this restaurant last night and we were all impressed with the quality of the food, the presentation and the service. This is a lovely restaurant with the advantage of a very great garden area with panoramic views. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Todi

We were in Todi yesterday and finished off our visit with a great lunch. The risotto asparagus was light and left a fantastic taste. The views from the back deck and the background sounds of the birds further enhanced the experience

We were in Todi at lunchtime on a Thursday and the town was almost empty. We saw the sign for this place and walked down the stairs surprised that it was open. We had a complimentary glass of prosecco and some proscuito to start. We ordered the house red and they kept filling our glasses from a bottle of a... More

We recently visited Todi for a quick overnight stay. It was January so many other restaurants were closed. We found La Cantina del Mercataccio mostly by accident. We passed it on the way up the stairs during one of our walks in town. What a great experience. When we travel to Italy we are always looking for foods you just... More

I loved the cellar atmosphere. very old stone walls with nice artcraft around. I loved the meal starting with eggs and black truffles , continuing with wild boar stew to finish with the ricotta tiramisu. For the wine, go for the Sagrantino di Montefalco, a little bit pricy but excellent

We found this restaurant on our way back to Orvieto, coming from Assisi. We had such a lovely evening : very pleasant staff, beautiful place and lovely food. We decided to go back there for our last dinner in Italy. The terrace was closed because there had been some heavy thunder in the daytime and too much rain so we... More

This proved to be the best meal of the vacation. Motivated by a recent Travel & Leisure article we booked, but didn't need to. Down a back street this is obviously overlooked. Gorgeous terrace view of valley, very pleasant staff and perfect cuisine. At our table of four, total of ten dishes and not one regret - from antipasti through... More
