Just dropped in - and will definitely come back !

Excellent food, the chef has apparantly worked in Michelin-starred restaurants, and the food was indeed much better than the average. Moreover, a great view and friendly staff. Not the lowest prices in Umbria, but certainly not unreasonable either.

We visited Todi for just a night, and this restaurant was recommended to us by a local friend. The food was nicely prepared, unique and just delicious. We started off with warm fresh mozzarella with chestnuts and local honey. Honestly, we had never tried the combination of chestnuts, honey and mozzarella and loved every bite….. We then moved onto pheasant... More

The food at this restaurant is top-notch (the tasting menu is great), the ambiance is lovely (cozy inside or an airy terrace with sweeping views of the Umbrian countryside), the service is excellent, and the wine list is superb. The thing I loved about this restaurant is that it's a beautiful and traditional space, but the food is modern so... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The wait staff and chef were so pleasant! We were a party of 7 - sat out on the terrace for dinner. Lovely views of the countryside. Inside is very quaint. Lovely meal - most of us opted for the prix fixe menu so that we could taste a number of the dishes. Each course... More

Thats how we were treated. One of our party of 8 happens to be a very well respected chef whos restaurant is moving to outside the walls of Todi but is not open yet. Or we would eat there for all meals. The chef and sommelier both suggested a 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings. It took all the stress of... More

Todi is a fabulous town but finding a warm welcome when dining out is not always easy if truth be told. From the moment we entered, the staff were warm and friendly and utterly professional. The setting is interesting and atmospheric, with great attention to detail. The food was very, very good, service and the wine list was excellent. A... More

Four of us ate in this restaurant last night and we were all impressed with the quality of the food, the presentation and the service. This is a lovely restaurant with the advantage of a very great garden area with panoramic views. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Todi

We were in Todi yesterday and finished off our visit with a great lunch. The risotto asparagus was light and left a fantastic taste. The views from the back deck and the background sounds of the birds further enhanced the experience

We were in Todi at lunchtime on a Thursday and the town was almost empty. We saw the sign for this place and walked down the stairs surprised that it was open. We had a complimentary glass of prosecco and some proscuito to start. We ordered the house red and they kept filling our glasses from a bottle of a... More

We recently visited Todi for a quick overnight stay. It was January so many other restaurants were closed. We found La Cantina del Mercataccio mostly by accident. We passed it on the way up the stairs during one of our walks in town. What a great experience. When we travel to Italy we are always looking for foods you just... More
