Our group of four celebrated the final night of our nearby villa rental with a terrific meal, thanks to Chef John. Our varied entrees were the sea bass, sliced veal with juniper berries, lamb chops and pasta with shrimp, all excellent. John can seat 30 and wisely holds a few tables for the locals who enjoy dining with him year-round.... More

I was fortunate to eat here three times in a week and got to sample many items on the menu. The food is exceptional. The stand outs were the Ravioli, Cacio e Pepe, the Turkey and the cheescake. Can't wait to go back.

New acquaintances of ours had been referred to this restaurant as being "the best in Todi" and it shows on Trip Advisor as #1 of 45. Six of us enjoyed a decent meal there and the Scotsman Chef/Owner was friendly and personable. However, I would not rate it as higher than typical and average and can only question the Number... We visited Todi in April and enjoyed lunch on our first afternoon but little did we know that John and his beautiful wife would host our group of 13 only a few nights later for a spectacular dinner. We spent a week in the Todi area and this dinner w the highlight! The antipasti was unbelievable but only a prelude... More

The dinner here was extraordinary, especially the pastas. We almost went back a second time because the food was so very good. It's very close to the cable car from the parking lot so easy to find. This well deserves to be the best-rated restaurant in Todi - excellent value and a meal you'll remember.

In Todi for a week. Ate here twice. Moma Mia! There were 6 of us each time. All loved it. Had heard only tourists ate here. Not true. Both nights, Italian speakers, Americans and others were in evidence. All seemed to be having a good time. Each evening, John Patterson, a fine Scottish lad and the owner/chef, came out at... More

My wife and visited this restaurant in May . It is a small restaurant so you must book. The food is top class and since it is freshly prepared it takes some while to arrive , but when it does wow ... The wine is also good quality and wine can be obtained as a quarter/ half carafe ..try the... More

We spent 10 days in Todi and I can not wait to go back. Of all of the food we ate in Todi and much of it splendid, this was the best. The anti-pasta of the brioche with melted cheese and truffles was divine. I told my husband I have died and gone to heaven! The rocket and apple salad... More

I cannot over-emphasise how wonderful this restaurant is. We were a group of four, my wife and I returning to Todi where we spent our honeymoon 15 years ago to the day and two friends who had travelled from Ireland. We have eaten at most of the restaurants Todi has to offer over the past years and all are reasonably... More

This tiny gem of a restaurant in Todi is a must if you are anywhere near this area. The chef John Paterson is from Scotland but has been in Umbria for 14 years. He cooks wonderful Umbrian food. We had antipasto of local meats and cheeses, I had ravioli withe truffles and my husband had pasta with shrimp and zucchini.... More
