Very Good Option for Lunch and Location

The five of us were at first put off by some of the other reviews indicating that this restaurant was very expensive. We found very little difference in this fine restaurant's prices and the other fine quality restaurants for lunch. It isn't a pizza joint! We had excellent food, ordering an... read more

Wandering through Piazza del Poppolo on a Monday afternoon in Todi we happened upon this lovely restaurant! Perfect for the windy weather conditions of a hilltop town...covered terrace dining with large open windows for an amazing view. I had delicious saffron & mushroom risotto while my husband had grilled sausages cooked in a fireplace!! Highly recommend this restaurant to Todi... More

Loved the atmosphere. It's a bit like an elegant living room. Lots of game on the menu, but plenty else for the non-game-lovers. Pasta is fresh, as it is all over Italy.

We parked what seemed like at the bottom of a mountain and walked up to the main square (there are a few parking spots up there but none were available). we saw a sign for the restaurant and in desperate need of water - and oxygen - we wandered over. We could not have picked a more perfect spot if... More

Two of us dropped in for lunch. All but two tables on the terrace were either occupied already or were reserved so we thought ourselves lucky to get a table. Service was slow and confused. There were only 2 people looking after the diners and on a visit to the WC I noticed that there seemed to be only 2... More

This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the Villa we rented, Passo della Palomba Estate. It is located in the town of Todi about 3 km from the villa. The atmosphere was great and the food excellent. We sat outside and the view was beautiful. We were there with 2 other couples and I ordered the Pasta with black... More

The staff here are very welcoming and worked with me months in advance to arrange a dinner for 12 assuring us a phenomenal view of the Umbrian hills surrounding Todi,Italy. The food is very good and representative of the variety of dishes one finds in this area-- wild boar anyone?

Pleasant restaurant of the main square. Boar is common in Todi and the Umbria does it well. There were a number of pasta dishes on the menu for the 1st. I chose gnocchi which was fine. The terrace view is quite nice.

I am a renegade on this restaurant. The food is petty good, but you pay double for it (and for the wine) because of the view. That is not to my liking, although several of the people I was with liked it a lot. I had soup that turned out to be basically a simple bean soup, for which they... More

Had a fantastic meal last week at Ristorante Umbria. Despite being in a big group service was fast. I had black truffle pasta which was incredible, homemade tagliatelle and very generous with the truffle. The house white was delicious as was the walnut salad and dessert (a kind of cake with pine nuts and creamy filling - much nicer than... More
