Wonderful, traditional, child-friendly dinner surrounded by the gorgeous waft of baking bread

We were recommended to La Mulinella by the owner of the wonderful villa we stayed in overlooking Todi. It is one of those off the beaten track, authentic, traditional places frequented by locals... I agree that you won't find many tourists at this restaurant. Set at the base of the hill, on which the Renaissance town of Todi is situated it is a chance find. There is a board of famous visitors nestled in a corner and the strong smell of the bread oven. The food is very traditional. My friend said the... More

You won't find many tourists at this typical Umbrian restaurant where the local people come to enjoy a good meal with their family. The delicious food is prepared by an Italian mama who is very talented.

Traditional umbrian food. Honest, tasty, very good price. Good choice to know the local cuisine. Hand made pasta

Delicious menu, freshly made pasta: simple, tasty Italian food served with pride by friendly staff at very reasonable prices - overall a very positive experience and a cut above other restaurants we sampled in the area. A little off the beaten track with a small play area for children, this restaurant makes for a lovely family meal.

Everything is done by hand (e.g. pasta, bread), the price is reasonable, in the summer it is possible to eat outside in a nice and big garden below a huge tree.

best place to eat in the neighbourhood. Lots of Italians go there too! The setting is not ideal (no view or anything), but nevertheless a culinary experience you shouldn't miss

Our second visit to this restaurant. Ever-friendly staff, prompt service, but the food disappoints. The pasta is made in-house but the gnocchi, again, had the texture of rubber. This time, the stinco di maiale had been re-warmed with none of the cooking juices and was dry and chewy. The best offering was a "lasagna ai carciofi" - in fact, more... More
