On my recent trip to Italy we had spent the day in Pisa and were looking for a place to eat dinner We asked a few locals and they recommended Lo Squalo..........they said it was small and behind the gas pumps at the service station.............which would throw most people off. Do not let that bother you.....go and eat here. This... More

Our cousins (who live in town) first started taking us here years ago. We visit annually, and now never miss a summer eating here. Why would we? The food here is outstanding and represents the best Italy has to offer. And believe me, I'm not talking spaghetti and meatballs. Tirrenia is a fabulous little beach town in Tuscany, not Campania,... The receptionist at our lodging recommended we go to Lo Squalo to grab a pizza for take-out. After seeing reviews about the seafood, we decided to dine-in instead. We were not disappointed! Our son ordered half a lobster with fries and enjoyed it. I shared a pasta dish for two with my husband. I regret that I don't recall the... More

We initially went to a restaurant very close to Lo Squalo with a group of 8 people. We were basically ignored by the staff. However when we walked to Lo Squalo, the staff engaged us immediately and informed us that they need 5 to 10 minutes to prepare a large table. We waited for about 5 minutes before we were... More

Having lived in the area, moved away, returned, left again, and still return to visit, I can 100% say that having dined here dozens of times over the course of six years, I have NEVER had a bad experience at this restaurant. Their trademark frizzante white wine on tap (not prosecco) is total happiness when paired with vongole alla marinara,... More

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel for good seafood. It is located on a corner between a string of other small restaurants. It was crowded at 9:00 pm when we arrived an had a short wait for a table. The restaurant seating was all open air, under cover seating. Our table offered a view of the gas pumps at... More

Nice place for a dinner with or without children. The food and service were very good and if you go there late, expect to wait as it is popular with tourists and locals. We were told to have the tiramisu and it is definitely worth it at 6 euros.

Great people, great food. I have never had a bad experience in Lo Squalo. In a touristy beachside town where good food can be hard to find, Lo Squalo is always fantastic.
