The best food

We enjoyed the skills of Chef Francesco for three nights straight and each of his courses was the best that we have had - ever. The setting and service are also excellent. This restaurant warrants a special side trip if you were not planning to visit Spoleto.

We chanced upon Cantina de Corvi while visiting Spoleto and what an enjoyable experience we had. The waiter spoke excellent English and was able to explain the menu to us. He told us that the Chef had received the first of the Summer truffles that day and was making a spaghetti dish with them. I had not tried truffles before... More

I can't speak Italian, but our waiter spoke such good English and had a delightful and helpful approach to explaining and recommending things from the menu and wine list; his wine recommendations, in particular were excellent. The food was beautifully cooked - pork fillet in lardo was a treat, served just pink. Strangozzi with truffle almost as good and the... More

We went to the trouble of finding this place as it had excellent reviews - it is off the beaten track and quite difficult to find. When we got there it seemed great - the menu looked excellent and it was a nice atmosphere and was full and there were several locals. We ordered some wine and studied the menu... More

I went there with a group of friends last Friday but I'd like to start by saying that we couldn't help going back there on Sarurday as well! Amazing food, the waitress are very kind, professional and always smiling, prepared about wines and tastes! The food is great and original matches made by the chef are available to taste new... During our stay in Spoleto, we were lucky enough to eat at this restaurant. It was a little difficult to find but well worth the effort. The food was amazing. It's not the same menu that you see in almost every restaurant in the town....more innovated. The couple that owns the restaurant are wonderful and so helpful. And the prices... More

My wife and I dined at Cantina de Corvi last night and it was an outstanding experience. First the food. Our primi, a ravoli dish, was simply delicious, hand made with great care. My wife had the salmon main course which was very well prepared and I had the beefsteak, tastefully marinated and seasoned, on a bed of greens, olives,... More

We own a vacation home in Spoleto and are familiar with all the restaurants here. Cantina De Corvi changed hands last year and is now one of the best in this city! Many great typical Umbrian rustic cuisine places, but hardly any that put some sophistication and originality into the standard fares. Corvi does this exquisitely. Their pea and mint... More

It's not often that we return to restaurants when there are just so many good options to choose from but we couldn't pass up the chance to eat on two occasions at Cantina de' Corvi. Service was efficient and friendly and sitting out on the tiny terrace was a delight. Inside was a cosy arched brick room which would be... More

We had eight days of eating at Spoleto restaurants, and this was the best meal. It was also probably the most expensive - about 80 Euro for two, including a half-bottle of an excellent local wine - this seemed very reasonable for the quality of the meals and experience. There is a leafy outdoor area and an old, arched stone... More
