The trattoria is located at Via Nazionale 331, a short 15 minutes walking from the old city centre and well worth taking a short detour. You're greeted by the host who will immediately make you feel welcome and who may assist you in choosing from the extensive wine list. We've eaten here twice and all the food was sublime: lovely... Our hotel recommended Antico Tannino and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed our meal so much the first night that we went back for dinner the next night. I highly recommend the rabbit pappardelle or the rabbit loin dishes. I would put them in the top 20 things I have ever had in any restaurant anywhere in the world. Just... More

I had the grilled octopus as a starter and ravioli with fish. Delicious. Friendly service, very nice overall experience.

We were referred to the Restaurant by the staff at our inn and after reviewing the other choices selected the Trattoria to our great good fortune! The chef is not only a gifted cook, he is also charming and makes his guests feel welcome and special. We had pork in Black truffle sauce and polentina parmigiana which was heavenly! The... More

The location isn't the best for tourists but the restaurant seems to be very much appreciated by locals so maybe they don't really need us, tourists... Anyway, if you are in Sestri, try to visit nevertheless. The quality of food and service is excellent. We had a bit of trouble first with the menu because it's in italian only. The... More

We were staying in Sestri Levante for 5 days and after too many in the best case mediocre touristic restaurants, we finally found this place on the day before last. And came back again the day after. It was Italians-only, and you could tell that there were many regular customers, according the chat they had with the chef. It is... More

We enjoyed a delightful lunch at this classy trattoria located in town, away from the beach. Plenty of free parking in lot across the street. Friendly, helpful staff. Clientele (except us) was all Italian. Easy to understand menu used common terminology. Excellent selection, primarily local seafood. We split an antipasto plate, skipped the pasta or soup course, and enjoyed two... More

We visited Antico Tannino twice: for lunch and for dinner - excellent food and service. Very competent and friendly owner and staff. Two great experiences. The restaurant is situated away from the crowdy turist-restaurants by the sea (15 - 20 minutes walk). To us it seemed as if most of the customers were local/ italiens.

What a great find. A very pleasant dining room and very lovely owners. Most importantly the food was fantastic. I had simple grilled fish and it was superbly cooked in its juices and stock with some delicious sauteed vegetables. We went again and I had the steak which was excellent. The chef clearly uses very high quality ingredients and I... More
