Thank you for everything.

My husband and I stayed in Sestri for approximately ten days and dined here at least once a day for the duration of our visit. We are big foodies and I used to write for a cuisine magazine in New Zealand. Sure, we dined at other places in Sestri but this place was absolutely our favourite! The... read more

This is a must when in Sestri Levante; a rare restuarant with pressional and FRIENDLY service; the waiter explains every dish in detail in English. With sincere friendliness. No big deal if you don't eat potatoes or anything else, they customize your dish without any problem. My tip is to take two starters, and then go outside for a gelato for... More

Sestri is a bit touristy, as it's right on the sea, so finding a local spot can be tough. We found this place by asking the owner of our B&B, and it was great. (It's been there for a very long time) A little bit pricey, but the food was fantastic—with several octopus dishes, including their signature, "octopus ragu" spaghetti—which... More

Good spot when you like seafood. Small restaurant with mainly fish on the menu. We went for the seafood platter which was an impressive mountain of grilled seafood of all kinds. We enjoyed it a lot. The price even better, one of the lowest bills of our two week trip through Italy and I am quite picky when chosing restaurants,... More

We had an interesting meal here in the annex section. The chef had put some odd flavours together which worked but were odd. For example I had basil flavour ice cream with cheesecake. The staff were good and all the food seemed ok, with a strong emphasis on seafood. Whilst I cannot blame the restaurant as I probably didn't peel... More

We really loved the food at La Cantina Del Polpo! Everything was absolutely delicious. We started with Mussels in a white sauce and a Caprese Salad.. We had the typical local Ligurian pasta with pesto sauce, string beans and potato. Also skewer of delicious shrimp and scallops. We enjoyed the atmosphere eating on the outdoor terrace and the service was... More

Terrible food, we waited for almost a hour even though we had a reservation. The young waiter was kind with us

My friends and I had lunch here after hanging out on the beach all morning. The food was wonderful! We ordered a bunch of options, and shared. The cuttlefish were the biggest surprise....so good! Service was good, the atmosphere was also great. All in all a great experience!

I've been here for a dinner and I cansay that: The octopus at catalan was good, for my personal taste was too much tomato and not that much octopus, that was perfectly cooked, apart it was great. Then I order tuna with grapefruit (tuna rare) flavor perfect. The only problem was that was well done. The did it again and... More

Helpful staff (English speaking), good quality local style food and an extensive local wine list. I had the octopus sauce pasta which was very nice.
