This was like stepping back in time, but in a good way. Excellent service and food and a very good wine list.

We spotted this restaurant whilst strolling around and thought it looked worth a visit. Every table was full early evening and the food being served looked and smelt fantastic.
We booked a table in advance and so were disappointed to find on arrival that it was inside, not outside as we had requested. However, the staff responded well to this...

Visited here with two colleagues for dinner. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, even off season, and the restaurant had quite a few tables filled which we took as a good sign.
We ordered some good wines (circa 28 euros a bottle) so the bill was not cheap, but was well worth the money in the main. Small things like...

The menu here is excellent. If you like seafood there is an amazing choice all cooked and served beautifully by the very talented chef and served by very friendly and efficient front of house staff. Do make time to try this restaurant.
I ate the carpaccio (excellent), followed by a mixed fish dish, then a desert which was a mix between pannacotta and chessecake, and was superb. Even the house wine was superb. This is a restaurant not to be missed.
The food was lovely and it was nice to dine on local specialities. The staff were very helpful with the choices of wine. We also noticed that there were lots of locals eating there so it must be good!
I had pasta which was good. My husband decided to try the fried sardines or anchovies which is a specialty of the region. We just couldn't get used to the all the bones in them. I kept choking on the little bones. It was definitely different.
This restaurant is legendary in this seaside town -- for good reason. Fresh seafood of all kinds, excellent preparation, wonderful and efficient service, and a bustling atmosphere. Our friend who lives here recommended it highly, helping us wade through an extensive menu of specials and delicacies I didn't see on too many other menus in town. Nice outdoor seating, though...

We had a very nice meal here. The service was good and the value was very good. It was very busy so it is very popular, but I think we enjoyed Mario's Sister's & Brother's restaurant down the street more than this one. See my review at La Cantina Del Polpo.
There was a queue at night so we went instead for lunch and while the restaurant was again full, we didn't need to wait long for a table. The service was excellent, waiters were friendly, efficient and attentive. A vibrant atmosphere with oysters so fresh you can see them being shucked at the front of the restaurant day and night....
