Exactly what we were looking for - Excellent Ligurian food and hospitality.

We keep going back to this lovely family run restaurant in the heart of San Remo's pedestrian area. Not that we have tried that many others, but this is our favourite San Remo spot. Why look elsewhere, when you get the personal and attentive service from the kind and knowledgeable staff at Piccolo... read more

We found by chance this restaurant last August. We had a good lunch on the street with very good service by the multilingual owner. We came back in January on a town market day. The house was packed so we came back 25 minutes later to get a table. Young lady serving not as friendly as the boss, but who... More

My family had been going to this restaurant for decades, from the time the defunct parents of the present owner used to run the business. The service was generally bad, but the food was good. However, on our last visit, my old and frail father's food was forgotten, and since the portions are small, we could hardly share our food... More

Poor food. Fish looked like dead, no taste at all. Spaghetti simple but ok. Service sucks, almost no attention, only 3 tables occupied. Order partly forgotten by waitress, who took a break a few steps from our table to have a smoke. Smoke damps rolled over our table. Please go to the opposit restaurant Nando, where the chef likes his... More

Recently tried this place after many years-always been known for ligurian cuisine- I would say the best things on the somewhat limited menu are the local favourites very good fresh pasta and sources very good local grilled fish-steak nothing special. Not for gourmands- not cheap either but if you're after good fresh cooking you should be OK.

The quality of food is really perfect but the young lady is unprofessional and you need to order at least 2 times to get the desired delivery. Also for paying the bill you need to ask 3 times. A memory training will help. Also perhaps the too much tourist quality stickers at the doors show that the staff seems to... More

Visited on a rainy Wednesday lunchtime in October and restaurant was less than 1/3 full. Nice bright room that looked freshly decorated. Charming waiter took time to explain items on the menu. Food took quite a long time to arrive and service was a little on the slow side, I guess if the restaurant had been busy they may have... More

Had a great meal here, good starter of mixed vegetables cooked to perfection followed by one main of veal, and one of fish and a very good carafe of house white wine, water, and an espresso, total cost 48Euro. Good atmosphere and good service, it was so good we went back 2 days later. We were shown to the same... More

On several occasions we had failed, whilst passing, to get a table for lunch at Piccolo Mondo but this time we made sure by making a reservation. Perhaps, we were unlucky in picking a day when they were short staffed as whilst he food was quite good ( but not exceptional ) the service was truly appalling. The service was... More
