Great seafood!

We had ended up here by accident. We were looking for a good restaurant for lunch in Roseto and Vecchia Marina was recommended to us by some locals. Since we had not booked and the place was fully loaded, we had to sit outside alone. Not very vice, but it was our own choice and the staff did... read more

No menu, don't listen too much to what you want but instead bring dozens of different sea species to your table. Everything is pretty well done, but you have to love all seafood to love the place. Not for veggies or carbs fans, mostly sea protein. Somewhat difficult to stop the flow of food. Reasonably priced, though.

Excellent seafood and fish, a lovely (and innovative) dessert, wonderful white wine, and good service. Only improvement could have been better air con in the midst of the hottest July in the last 70 years. Pasta dishes were great, and the shellfish had been shelled before cooking. Pedantic maybe, but whilst I like shellfish, I don't like fiddling with it... More

Out of season, the seafront at Roseto is quiet, but even in the depths of winter, the Vecchia Marina is buzzing for lunch. And it's soon clear why. We were having the only seafood meal of our holiday (in the summer we live on the stuff, but in winter it tends to be more hearty mountain fare we go for),... More

Fresh fish, great variety of plates. Antipasto enough to fill you up. All types of fish, cooked or prepared in a simpe yet amazing way. Great, clean tastes. Great and friendly service.

Local friendly, clean, correct service but a bit long in time, the flavors in the kitchen are simple, some ancient and refined: recommended for lunch, advised against the first courses, but it depends on your taste at the end. not bad prices, the cellar is supplied not too much: very nice outdoor space to the the seafront road.

This unprepossessing place on the seafront is much better than it looks from the outside! We found it in a Slow Food Guide, and it really did meet our high expectations. The maitre de couldn't have been more helpful and ended up taking such a personal interest in us and what we were eating, giving great recommendations for both food... More

Again we had a full antipasto that has exceeded our expectations. Hot, Cold and Raw antipasti + a great Pecorino wine + dish of fruits + sorbets + coffee and Grappa for 86 EUR, truly unbeatable.

I am convinced that Vecchia Marina in Roseto Degli Abruzzi is the shortest distance between the catch of the sea and my mouth. I was there in the fall but I could tell that the It faces the sea but on the other side of the main street. Simple but modern interior was pleasant. I ordered a bottle of with... More

Great fish menu in a small and cozy restaurant. The raw, cold and hot antipasti are absolutely great, the best I had this holiday without any doubts. Tagliolini "wheat & water" are a clearly demonstration of the local cuisine, few but top quality ingredients made great dishes. We had a great dinner: 2 full antipasti + tagliolini + a very... More
