What a meat trolley!

We would never have found this without directions - but what a find! Tagliatelli al Sugo - all home made -and corelli arrosti. This is another great local experience that you can find if you look in the right places. Buffett does properly describe the environment here. It is more like a massive dim sum of Italian roasted/boiled meats. We were encouraged to start the meal with a pasta or antipasta which we did. It was a good thing. The second course consisted... The restaurant features buffet carts of meat and vegetables. We got the vegetables only which was perfect with pasta. Pasta dish for 10 Euros! We ordered "vino Rosso" and got a small bottle of Lambrusco (a local sparkling red wine that is pretty good) for 5 euros 3 of us ate for 50 euros. They charge cover for 5 euros... More

This is a traditional italian place, where you realize that fresh pasta can taste even better than you imagined. The pasta is made there and it is absolutely delicious. The tiramissu is the best I´ve tried and it is certainly worth tasting! The waiter is one of those characters who choose your food when you get there and, believe me,... More

Being a citizen I've been in the restaurant several times. The food served is without any doubt very good and a must for people who visit the city centre and want to taste the typical kitchen. Being in one of the old roman ways it is in a wonderful location, but as most of the restaurant on the centre it... More

Came in with a business partner who recommended the place as a classic Regianna cuisine. The place is absolutely amazing when it comes to food. It is a simple and straight forward restaurant BUT the food is absolutely fantastic. Don't expect luxury - this is not what this restaurant is about! It is about excellent local food, served in a... The place is staffed by old-style ultra-professional waiters who swiftly and effortlessly cope with a busy and popular restaurant. Food was first-rate. The meat trolley with boiled and roasted meats looked and was excellent. Served with the traditional mash and side bowls of tasty and spicy condiments.Other dishes were also good and punters came expecting to eat well and ceratinly... More

The restraunt was recommended by AlbergoMorandi (reviewed separately) as typical of the region. We arrived early before preparations were complete. We were made welcome. We ordered from the meat trolley, an over whelming selection and quantity. Because of our poor language skills we sampled meats not knowing what they were! (Some still unknown!!) An unforgetable and wonderful experience. The staff,... More

Trolleys with multiple choices of meats - one for roasted meats and one for boiled meats - are one of the features of traditional (read: 1950-1970s) central Italian cuisine. A restaurant's quality used to be gauged by how good they were at extremely simple preparations such as roasts and bolliti (boiled meats). Three ways to goodness and greatness: 1. quality... More

I ate here twice recently and really enjoyed it. It was not what I would have chosen initially but, the meals were both delicious. The main course is from the meat trolley and I have no idea what some of the sausages might be but the roast meats are easy to recognize. There were lots of local customers which is... More
