Yummy meal but over charged

Had heard many good reviews about this place. Started with a yum salad and crispolini. I had lasagna for dinner (not as good as my dads but very authentic), my friend had bolognese pasta which she loved and my mum had the veal in lemon sauce which was incredible (we all tried it). We had a bottle... read more

We ate here on our last night after walking past dozens of times. Don't make our mistake go early and return to enjoy the hustle and bustle, not to mention the tasty food. The same family has run this place for 86 years and it will go on for a long time yet

Prices were high and food was poor to mediocre. Pizza was best. Calamari was rubbery. The sea bass" (not) fish of the day at £25 was flavourless and way overcooked and when told vegetables were an option as a side, arrived with a few thin slices of potato also overcooked, and no vegetables at all. The front room is homey... More

We visited this restaurant based on recommendations from a friend and from travel sites. The food was delicious, but more importantly, we were made to feel like family! They want everyone to have a great meal, so they will discuss the options with you first and even give you a sample of some things. Pasta sampler was amazing along with... More

Looking for a restaurant in Ravello early evening, we came across this restaurant simply by finding an open door with a welcoming buzz coming from inside. May be the "typically Italian thing" described in many other reviews might be a bit much at home, but here, it made for a really enjoyable experience. Like others, we were offered off-menu items... I, too, had heard good things about this restaurant, so we went for lunch. I do not now remember what we ate (it was in late Dec, 2011), but I do remember that I was a little disappointed (not a lot - food in Italy is very rarely bad and this was not bad, just not outstanding). Considering the other... More

We stopped for lunch in Ravello and deciding against eating in the main square we looked for somewhere else and we came across this restaurant. They really looked after our toddler (no charge for his food) and the ravioli and cannelloni we had were delicious. We also had a tomato salad that came with a stunning olive oil dressing. As... Visited with friends prior to our wedding. Food is excelent and reasonably priced. The waiter even charmed the ladies with a flower and bottle of proseco!

We first came years ago and returned this year, concerned it would have changed. No, it was still the same informal, friendly place with simple traditional Italian food cooked well and very reasonably priced. If you're lucky, Mama will come to your table to chat and discuss the food. She recommended eggplant parmesan, which was not on the menu, and... More

Two different people recommended Cumpa Cosimo for lunch during our Ravello tour and we were glad they did. The restaurant is tucked away behind the churches but worth the search. Friendly family running the place and they helped us pick delicious meals of cannelloni with white sauce, lasagna, and penne arrabiatta. We ended with a delicious tiramisu that finished the... More
