Worth A Visit

Recommended by our driver. Bad first impression. Refused a table next to door. Taken to isolated table in back room. Insisted on table in busy, warm main room. Uphill from there. Excellent grilled fish filleted at table. Good stewed rabbit. Decent house wine. The ancient proprietess, Nonna... read more

I have to say that I'm perplexed by the bad reviews here. There are a lot of them! Wow! People have criticized the food, service, bill, décor, everything and we had nothing to complain about. We were treated exceptionally well, by all of the staff, we had delicious, simple cooking, did not get overcharged on our bill and found the... More

Personally met the owner - a stalwart and beautiful woman. The food was good, with a delightful selection of breads.

This restuarant was recommended by our guide, Antonio and my family and I had a very enjoyable experience. At the recommendation of the owner we started with one plate of mixed antipasti for the three of us and their pasta sampler platter - of the five pastas tried, my parents loved the classical tomato sauce and Meatballs and I really... An incredible dining experience at the recommendation of a friend.wonderful! Lovely restaurant in a lovely town. Mama is gracious and the cooking is fabulous. The antipasto is incredibly delicious. We had linguine al fungo and the 5 type pasta dish. Mouth watering! Worth a special trip to Ravello!!

We had a flying visit to Ravello and a friend recommended we went to a "Mamas" Restaurant not far from the main square. Our Taxi driver recommended this restaurant. From walking through the door to leaving we were made to feel very welcome and received personalised service from "Mama" who was nursing a broken arm. After receiving complimentary meat balls... I will be contacting the Visa disputes team today to investigate the discrepancies in the bill I received against what has been taken from my account. The modis operandi as described in Zullo 1964 review of February is to claim the PDQ machine is not working in order to create confusion for tourists at the point of payment. If you... More

We went to this restaurant on our first night and I really wish I'd read the reviews first. The food was good but we were grossly overcharged by the elderly lady who just wrote down a figure when we asked for our bill. It was only when we got back to the hotel that I realised it couldn't possibly have... More

Excellent food and good staff. Moma recommended authentic dishes and were delicious. The Lemon chicken was my favorite but the pasta dishes were good.

We were recommended this restaurant from a local, so didn't bother checking out reviews ahead of time. The fried fish antipasto was quite nice, but everything else was, unfortunately, decidedly disappointing. I only managed to eat a few bites of my pasta dish; it was very bland and the seafood in it was definitely frozen and of poor quality. It's... More
