This is a bustling popular restaurant which some will love and some will hate. The food is average-to-good but much of the experience is related to the traditional Mama in local dress who floats around the restaurant interacting with the tables and dealing with all the money. If you are in a large group, be it with friends or family... More

The food was reasonably - although only reasonably - good which in the interests of fairness means the Cumpa' Cosimo gets three-out-five overall from me. But our overall experience I'm afraid was marred by offhand service from the waiting staff, which perhaps they assume would be compensated for by the table-hopping Mama, in her (to me, rather contrived) housecoat and... Order the penne and the ham and cheese for lunch!!, the flavor is insane!! Great local place for authentic food in Ravello. Kind of a scary bus ride to get there from amalfi though. It's fun and family oriented. The chef mama comes around the dining area and makes sure you eat all your food!!

Ate here several times in the last three years and always enjoyed our meals. Yes, it is not fancy but a traditional old fashion trattoria. Always found the food to be fresh and delicious. Service very friendly and prices fair. Recommend the assorted pasta dish and the sea bass. Desserts are yummy.

Food wasn't great and it feels like they wheel out "mamma" for the tourists. Local wine recommended by the waiter was very good for €25. The tiramisu was two very thin lines of sodden cake. Nothing special.

Visited this trattoria today and the food was generous, home cooked true Italian food. No view as such but the food and wine made up for that. Would return.

It was a really bad experience. Since when we came out: no one attended us, believe the menu was throwed (hurled) on the table, people bad-humor. Wine list it is poor too and the food okay - but you know when the service is the worst possible there's no food enough to keep your enthusiasm.

We ate here in August as part of a Tauck tour group. I can't speak to the prices, as the meal was part of our tour. All of our food was delicious. The owners were very hospitable. and charming. I loved the atmosphere and it has a lovely setting in a beautiful town.

The service was bad, they were very impolite. Plus this was cold, the pasta was overcooked and prices too expensive for this.

Went here after reading several great rewievs here at tripadvisor and can not agree. Service was average, staff was stressed and not so friendly, forgot our wine for example and did not apologize. Food was tasteless and really nothing special, had two different pastas. Would not recommend.
