Good experience

We didn't expect such experience as we were a bit lost in Ragusa streets ! We got a great welcome with a tasting of top class olive oil (one won a contest in New York !). A good start for a nice diner. We order classical Italian dishes (ravioli, spaghetti vongle) and dishes of the day (shrimps as... read more

Restaurant has a beautiful terrace underneath flowering, great smelling, trees. The service was excellent. We were served by a very motivated waiter, who explained all of the local products used. We would recommend the pastas, especially the spaghetti with the meatballs and the rafioli. They had glutenfree pasta.

We stumbled across this place on our first evening. There are quite a few tourist-traps in old Ragusa. This restaurant is only 100 metres off the main drag and thus not quite so touristy. The food was absolutely amazing. Service top-notch: polite and helpful; and the wines superb (as almost always the case in Sicily). It was around 100 euros... More

We dined at this lovely restaurant twice during our week in Ragusa. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly & attentive and the atmosphere welcoming. Our group of 8 chose to dine along the sidewalk and watch the people go by but they also have several small, intimate dining rooms that are very well appointed and romantic! Looking forward... More

I have been traveling in Italy for 3 weeks and in Sicily for a week when I arrived in Ragusa. We've spent a good amount of time traveling throughout Europe too and have had some pretty good meals. My partner and I are accomplished chefs in our Northern Californian hometown. We have been stunned (in a positive sense) by the... More

We weren't quite sure where to have dinner our first night in Ragusa. We had passed by the restaurant while wondering around the town during the day and decided this would be a great place to have dinner. It was still on the early side so we were only one of two tables there. We were escorted to the rear... More

On a very busy night in Italy (ferragosto festivity) we ended up there. We waited about 30 min for a table and in the meanwhile were taken for a tour inside the place. It's a real pearl a building from the 18th century restaured and With a very nice cantina. When we finally got the table ordered a Tortino Di... More

The food was tasteful even the most simple one like 'orecchiette al pomodoro". Combination of different tastes well balanced. Fresh ingredients from the territory. Good value for money. Third year I come to Ragusa Ibla and have a dinner in this restaurant. Never deceived and this time was even better.

My wife and I went to the Locandina one evening for a meal after a longish day sightseeing. We were led through to the rear of the premises, through various dining areas to a very nice room with two other couples dining. We ordered pizzas and a glass of red wine each. The pizzas were nice enough and the wine... More

We arrived late for lunch on a lazy January Sunday afternoon. The only people in the place at the time, my wife and I were treated like royalty. The food was local styles with some delightful new dishes we had never before experienced. Delicious. And the atmosphere in the old vault - our waitress told us it was originally a... More
