Pleasant experience at Orfeo

Restaurant in Ragusa are open till 3 pm. We managed to get there with just 20 minutes to spare, but we were greeted by Giampaolo, the owner and served lovely food in no time! Would love to visit again and try other typical Ragusian dishes. The Nero DÁvola wine complemented the Gnocchi... read more

Located about a block away from Best Western hotel. My dish of beef was a little tough but tasty. My friend's plate was very soft. I guess there is not consistency.

We went fora light lunch on our final day before leaving Ragusa and Sicily. A very pleasant restaurant in a good location close to our hotel. Grilled vegetables to die for and lovely tuna pasta. Friendly service and reasonably priced.

Mentioned in all the guidebooks but looking rather dated and the food whilst better quality than some other reviewers mentioned was not exceptional. Disappointingly no house wine and service rather slow.

The four bean soup in particular was wonderful. Fresh fish. We asked what was in one dish and the waiter with little English brought someone out to discuss it in detail.

We ate here as part of a (quite small) touring group. The pre-determined food took ages to come and was poor quality when it did arrive. The main course was a thin slice of veal (or maybe it wasn't - I've no reason to trust them) warmed up with a few sliced potatoes on top - except my wife's was... More

Unfortunately we only went here once, but everything served and the service was exceptionally good. We started with prosciutto and pineapple (a quarter of a whole pineapple) went on with pasta, etc.

The owner of this restaurant is not typically Sicilian and the main target is tourists. In Italian he is referred to as antipatica or unfriendly. The restaurant looks professional but the prices are high and parties of tourist not Italians are the key customers. It you want a true Sicilian welcome do not come here.

We chose this restaurant because of the reviews on this page, but our experience did not match that of others. The red decor looked inviting and fresh and the waiter was welcoming and friendly. But after that it was all downhill. The gnocchi were glutinous, soft and squishy and the sauce was another glutinous mush piled on the top. We... More

We had read up on this restaurant in all the guide books but we were put off initially by the bright red decor and the menu. It is Indian owned so not exactly your typical Italian restaurant. We opted to go for lunch instead of dinner and although we quite enjoyed what we had we weren't tempted to return for... More
