The owner of this restaurant is not typically Sicilian and the main target is tourists. In Italian he is referred to as antipatica or unfriendly. The restaurant looks professional but the prices are high and parties of tourist not Italians are the key customers. It you want a true Sicilian welcome do not come here.

We chose this restaurant because of the reviews on this page, but our experience did not match that of others. The red decor looked inviting and fresh and the waiter was welcoming and friendly. But after that it was all downhill. The gnocchi were glutinous, soft and squishy and the sauce was another glutinous mush piled on the top. We... More

We had read up on this restaurant in all the guide books but we were put off initially by the bright red decor and the menu. It is Indian owned so not exactly your typical Italian restaurant. We opted to go for lunch instead of dinner and although we quite enjoyed what we had we weren't tempted to return for... More

We ate here with our Insight tour group and the was absolutely wonderful. The gnocchi in pistachio sauce was so tasty and the ricotta and pistachio dessert completed the Sicilian experience. Well worth a visit.

We had a nice meal here. Restaurant was very quiet. Service was helpful and friendly. Food was fine, quite a big menu and I think most pre cooked. However it was hot and filling and we enjoyed it.

under a bright red vaulted ceiling with gentlemen waiters and a quiet atmosphere the ambience is relaxed and the food is attractive and good. recommended to many travellers by the local taxi drivers so if you want a less touristy destination perhaps look elsewhere

The atmosphere was good, despite few visitors on a Monday evening at the very end of March. The waiter was helpful, pointing out for us the local specialities in the coloured illustrated menu. We enjoyed the aubergine and cheese tart starter, as well as the beef and veal mains. They represented filling, home style cooking. The overall cost was good... More

Enjoyed this great little ristorante tucked along a side street in historic Ragusa - just a block away from the main touristic pedestrian-only street. We had tasty appetizers, soup, and main pasta course. The staff were very friendly and eager to please. They are open for lunch and then again later in the evening for dinner (7:30pm). The atmosphere is... More

I love Orfeo and GIAN PAOLO the owner...his bizarre fire hydrant modern interior is just the opposite one would expect in this city, a shrine to the Baroque....I just did this menu for a group of 30...puree of fava beans,,,,millefoglie di mozzarella and pomodoro...ROCKING ANTIPASTI !!! STICK WITH GNOCCHI DI PISTACHIO for the primo, it truly was the best I... More
