One of the better restaurants I ate at in Prato.

The food at soldano was very good. I was studying abroad I prato from August to December and I ate at soldano almost every week. The waiter Ivan was very friendly and the owner was also a nice man. While my friends that I studied with spoke italian well I did not and Ivan spoke English very well... read more

I am studying abroad in Prato, Italy. Soldano's is a part of our meal plan and it's food is to die for. The two owners are awesome! Even with our mean plan we had a limited menu but the food was still exceptional. If you are visiting Prato, you must visit! - Nicole Sanchez, Alanna Petriello, Krista Cardillo, Grace Brown,... Soldano has a welcoming staff with a ranging variety of menu options for Tuscany cuisine. The servers are patient with explaining the menu and are always friendly. Most fellow abroad students and I dine here at least twice a week for lunch and dinner, and there are usually new additional items. Porks, seafood, poultry, soups and of course various pastas...... The food is amazing here. I've only been in Prato for a month, but I've eaten here at least three days a week. Both lunch and dinner have great selections. I have never had a meal I did not enjoy. The desserts are tasty as well. The service is incredible. We're always greeted with a smile, our menu is explained... More

The prices are very low for what you get. It is home cooking Tuscan style. Filling and hot. Friendly service. Warm cosy atmosphere for an every day occasion for dinner or lunch. Do not expect to be wowed with the cuisine, but if you want home style cooking, to go out and not worry about how big the bill is,... More

Friendly staff, eager to make your meal an enjoyable experience. Mix with the locals, who know good food when they see it. Delicious regional food at great prices.

We initially went on an evening - which was " late night shopping" on a Thursday - at the recommendation of our hotel. This meant that dinner was served in the street which had been closed to traffic. We had a superb meal especially the rabbit which was moist and tasty. As a result we returned for the second night... Having passed thru Prato only to change trains to/from Florence and Bologna, we decided to take a day trip to Prato to find out what this Tuscan town has to offer. We found a traditional local trattoria just a few steps away from the Duomo. We started with an interesting bread basket with a wide variety of choices. The Antipasti... More

It happened to be in Prato (Tuscany, Italy) on my trip to San Gimignano during last Easter Holiday: generally Prato is considered an industrial town, quite vibrant and multicultural (mostly chinese factories) but not particularly attractive for tourists. It was a nice surprise to find a beautiful medieval historical center with a stunning cathedral showing inside frescos by Ghirlandaio (not... More
