The prices are very low for what you get. It is home cooking Tuscan style. Filling and hot. Friendly service. Warm cosy atmosphere for an every day occasion for dinner or lunch. Do not expect to be wowed with the cuisine, but if you want home style cooking, to go out and not worry about how big the bill is,... More

In downtown very good place for lunch or dinner, qualità toscana, comfortable. During week ends is preferable to book in advance

Friendly staff, eager to make your meal an enjoyable experience. Mix with the locals, who know good food when they see it. Delicious regional food at great prices.

We initially went on an evening - which was " late night shopping" on a Thursday - at the recommendation of our hotel. This meant that dinner was served in the street which had been closed to traffic. We had a superb meal especially the rabbit which was moist and tasty. As a result we returned for the second night... Having passed thru Prato only to change trains to/from Florence and Bologna, we decided to take a day trip to Prato to find out what this Tuscan town has to offer. We found a traditional local trattoria just a few steps away from the Duomo. We started with an interesting bread basket with a wide variety of choices. The Antipasti... More

It happened to be in Prato (Tuscany, Italy) on my trip to San Gimignano during last Easter Holiday: generally Prato is considered an industrial town, quite vibrant and multicultural (mostly chinese factories) but not particularly attractive for tourists. It was a nice surprise to find a beautiful medieval historical center with a stunning cathedral showing inside frescos by Ghirlandaio (not... More

Conveniently located close to the fabled Prato Duomo, Soldano Restaurant was a delightful surprise that capped a pleasant day in Tuscany. Their smoked herring, wisely washed with milk, has an almost perfect texture. You can have there also "sedani alla pratese", celery with a fresh meat sauce. I had a glass of excellent Bolgheri red wine - a suggestion of... More

We were here for dinner with my friends, and we really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the atmosphere pleasant and the price was reasonable (but not for backpackers :) ). And they have working WiFi, too ;)

Four of us, two couples, dined here four of seven nights that we stayed in Prato. It was like our home away from home while visiting Tuscany and staying at a nearby hotel in Prato. It was just a short walk from our hotel and we recommended it to several others in our tour group. The wait staff was great... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel (one of several recommendations). We're glad we went here for our one dinner in Prato as it was exactly what we were hoping to find: an essentially local restaurant serving decent local food without pretence and at a reasonable price. This is most definitely not a tourist trap! Having said that, the... More
