I can't believe it took me so long to find out about this place. This is an easy water taxi ride from Positano, it can be reached by bus ride also but me and my friends enjoyed the short ride on the sea from Positano so much. Everything feels like you are on a movie set here including when you... More

We had a quick lunch there with some drinks. The food was ok but the service was unattentive. The prices for the aperitives werde unreasonably high especially compared to il pirata etc.

A very friendly and welcoming beach restaurant with great Gnocci and a spectacular view! Also right by the beach so a great option for both lunch and dinner.

Staff spoke little English, but attentive. The food was nice, not overly special, but nice enough to eat there again. There was a wood fire pizza oven, the pizza I had was tasty.

Grumpy staff who told us we were not customers as we did not order food (having just spent 50 euro there)... Gave up hanging out there for any longer and went to a different Praiano beach.

The restaurant has a great location and friendly staff but the food is poor quality. The pizza was the worst I have had anywhere in Italy. The pasta was not well cooked with not much flavour. Try the other restaurants at the beach, they are all better for about the same price.

As a family of four we ate here twice in the space of a week, the first time was dinner and it was superb. Very good swordfish steak and seas food pasta. Lunchtime was mostly pizza, very tasty and very good value.

Came here with wife and 2 children 4.5 and 2.5 after a walk around Praiano and an hour or so on the little beach. Wife had Octopus, I had Swordfish, kids had pork escalaopes - cheap house wine. All good, especially considering options are limited. Make sure you take the kids into the building (we sat outside) to look at... More

We stood 10 days on the Costiera Amalfitana and I have to say that we tried a few restaurants. However, We ate at Alfonso a Mare about 6-7 times. The sea food is so fresh that you won't ever immagine, and the dishes were perfectly balanced. The first 3 times I couldn't get anything else than "Scialatielli ai frutti di... More

Amazing seafood the mussels were a delight and brilliant breakfast variety with fantastic service. If Joseph is there ask for one of his famous strawberry daiquiris. Fabulous.
