Unique experience, but partially let down

My wife and I were staying across the street at the Tramonto d'Oro, and decided to eat here for the final meal of our vacation. If staying in Praiano do eat here. It was a refreshing change to be served the food that the chef thinks is good on a given day rather than choosing for yourself. The food itself was wonderful, local wine went really well and it was all reasonably priced.

My wife and another couple visited here on vacation while staying on the Almalfi coast. It was a great experience and culinary treat. Our host was amazing he is a one man show and blows my mind of how well he did everything from the food, wine and making you feel welcome at this intimate little place. His multi course... More

He runs the place on his own, he ask what sort of food you like and creates the meal. He selects the wine based on your favourites and blends that with the food he is going to prepare. There are people turning up all night trying to get in so book. Young couples on mopeds turn up in droves betting... More

A whole in the wall on the main road through Praiano. The blackboard menu was interesting . A choice of red or white at EUR20 or 30 , the later being Reserva , and a choice of seafood or meat at EUR30 . Tonight the only choice was seafood , that's the way the chef does it. So the prima... More

This place is totally unique!!! It's not just dinner it's an experience in itself. If you are looking for a typical place this is not it, if you want to experience something differed then make this a must. It's so romantic and authentic. The food is sublime and the owner makes it the best of times! A truly wonderful place... More

This was one of the best meals I've ever eaten in my life. Everything was perfect. The food was outrageously good (three fish choices and one meat in our group of four), very simple dishes with a local twist and paired with perfect wines. We've been in Amalfi for two weeks and have eaten all over. If I were coming... More

At first we put off eating here as we thought it was slightly more expensive and we were travelling down Italy. However after hearing so much about the wine bar we decide to go for it and it didn’t disappoint. The menu was fish or meat and the host served what was locally available on the day.

I didn't know what to expect coming here, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. The place has a modern, but cozy feel, and although the food is top quality, the atmosphere is beautifully relaxed. The owner will ask you what you like to eat (fish, meat, vegetarian) and will then cook something for you according to your answer. The... More
