After looking on TripAdvisor, and then visiting the wine bar — and meeting Gennaro my partner and I booked ourselves in for the last night. Gennaro was very clear that there was no menu, just two options: meat or fish. On the night we both went for meat and Gennaro paired it with a bottle of Tauri, which worked perfectly... More

Probably one of the best steak dinners we have ever had in Europe! My fish is always excellent everytime we go there. Yes... you might have to be somewhat flexible in your expectations... "order fish or meat" and depend on Gennaro's suggestion for a wine pairing.... but in the 4 times we have been there we have never been disappointed...... More

If you live simply and can release control for and hour or two and like great food, than this is a must if you are in Praiano. Gennaro, is the waiter, chef and bartender and still is amazingly fun to be around. We were offered meat or fish. My husband got the meat and I got the fish. The fish... More

This is one of those places that you always dream about coming back to, and not just for the food (which is amazing) or the local wines (equally good)... or the service (top notch) .... But more for the who package and also to watch the spectacle that is your host/waiter/chef/dj (Gennaro) in action. That alone is worth the plane... More

We had really high expectations and it started well. But as it got busier we seemed to be forgotten a bit. Everyone in the restaurant got extra fish but us. We were served fruit as a dessert. It was so tasteless I do not even know what it was. I think that he should take on more help so that... More

Having dined here twice 3 years ago, it was a treat to return. Food was great, my dining companions said it was the best fish they had ever tasted, as lovely as I had remembered!

We turned up early, midweek with an 11 and 12 year old only to be told that they were fully booked. Every table was empty. Very disappointed as we were looking forward to the experience based on the reviews. If you want to eat here BOOK and leave the kids at home!

Gennero is the Masetro of the Amalfi Coast. An intimate dining experience . Every night is a new menu created by the chef. You just sit back and enjoy his artistry. Unlike any other ristorante on the Amalfi coast and a must1

This is where you will meet the locals - the spectacular chef makes an amazing pasta seafood dish and serves up with crisp white wine. Small and cozy, with a huuuge heart, this place moves from inside to outside when people have eaten, and you end up talking to all passer byers.
