We turned up early, midweek with an 11 and 12 year old only to be told that they were fully booked. Every table was empty. Very disappointed as we were looking forward to the experience based on the reviews. If you want to eat here BOOK and leave the kids at home!

Gennero is the Masetro of the Amalfi Coast. An intimate dining experience . Every night is a new menu created by the chef. You just sit back and enjoy his artistry. Unlike any other ristorante on the Amalfi coast and a must1

This is where you will meet the locals - the spectacular chef makes an amazing pasta seafood dish and serves up with crisp white wine. Small and cozy, with a huuuge heart, this place moves from inside to outside when people have eaten, and you end up talking to all passer byers.

If you are in Praiano you must pay a visit. Your host, chef, waiter, pot washer and entertainment is Gennaro - he is a genius. Sourcing the freshest foods, building the most beautiful meal and matching it with amazing wines. It looks like a modest hole in the wall on the Main Street but do go in and make a... More

The food, ambience and the whole experience with the owner being cook and waiter, all in one, is magnificent.

Our last night of our vacation. The best food ever. Gennaro we love you. He keeps the food simple , but the flavors sore. You must have time if you go here . Not a restaurant. Gennaro does everything from seating to cooking and cleaning up. A one person show .He just wants you to take your time and really... More

The food, wine and atmosphere at Vivaro wine bar is magnificent! A tiny place just by the Main Street in Praiano that offers today's meny with excellent wines. We were a family of four adults and spent 3,5 hours of eating really good food and drinking lovely wines to a much fair price. We didn't know the courses in advance... More

Gennaro is a little rough around the edges. "Do you have a problem with meat or fish?" He asks with a well hidden smile when we enquire about more details about the menu. No more details to be had, just decide which of the two you want and let gennaro take care of the rest. This restaurant is an absolute... More

Can't add much more to what other reviewers have said. Vivaro is an experience not to be missed during a visit to this beautiful part of Italy. Gennaro and his restaurant are unique and we had a fantastic night there. As Well as the amazing food and wine that just kept coming, the atmosphere was wonderful, as although we went... More

Based on the TA reviews this was my one must do on our trip to Praiano. It was by far the best meal on our trip! Don't just drop in, make reservations or you may be turned away. Gennaro does it all, serves and cooks, so it requires a delicate timing balance in order for him to provide the exceptional... More
